This is their creepiest song imo, when Avey Tare's vocals come in it gives me chills

This is what they played when they were on a late night talk show after strawberry jam came out. I don't remember which show. I just always loved that they chose this song lol.
I just looked it up it was Conan (who's also awesome). But I don't know what he thought about the song haha.

Just noticed the poly rhythm, arpeggiation completes 7 times for every 8 beats of the tambourine. Always felt like something sounded off.

I love those calming background vocals. They're so Beach Boys-esque.

The first time I listened to this song was through this really cheap pair of earbuds, in a really loud car, with a bunch of people talking. I didn't hear the tambourine or bass drum at all, so I was just like "What even the fuck is this time signature???" loooool

Although I don't have this problem with most of their records, I swear I can hardly tell who sings what on MPP. Its always a guessing game and i've listened to that album countless times.

I find Noah has a super distinctive voice though. Like it literally cuts through everything else.

Ghoulish Noah sings chores, #1 and Derek on this strawberry jam and has lead vocals on my girls, daily routine, guys eyes, and brother sport but also sings backup on every other song on MPP

The weird distorted voice that sings most of the lyrics is absolutely Dave Portner. Lennox is the one singing the clearer-sounding background ooohs and ahhhs, but that's Portner with the weird effect on his voice. Two very different singing styles, I'm surprised some people can't tell them apart. Lennox has a more stable, "smoother-sounding" style (for lack of a better word) and has that kinda Beach Boys sunniness, lots of oohs and ahhs, while Portner has like a more shaky, less polished-sounding style, more expressive, emotional and rough around the edges, with lots of unpredictable quirks and less conventional melodic choices. In simple terms, Noah Lennox has a generally more "accessible" sound than Dave Portner. I love them both, but if pressed, I'd say I prefer Portner's sound. His solo stuff floors me.

Theyre the most psychedelic group i can think of. You know, the kind you dont need drugs to listen to. The music acts as one. My absolute favorite band of all time.

Well there's others too. Acid mother's temple is psychedelic as fuck. But they're on totally different levels. Yes I'm responding to myself lol
