I know this is closed source (which is great!) but as a software engineer, it would be interesting to hear a bit about the software engineering challenges to actually build this. Graphical systems aren’t trivial to architect and it appears you guys put quite a lot of work into it!
Adding feature request for team - ADD SMERF , their paper n video n memory optimisation is great. -let it use 100% of cpu gpus. Its not using fully n taking a lot of time on training. - multiple lens calibration to remove fisheye distortion - ability to remove floaters. -reinject missing details with new image n semi train only a portion of space. Would be hugh time saver. - add locally a way yo convert splats to 3d mesh, via stable diffusion or other ai tool to catch reflections or interactions on unreal Ai generation n cleanup
IIve testing this for a while (I work in photogrammetry for advertising and game industry) please!!! don't make it a subscription model when the final release comes out!
Amazing! Looking forward to being able to merge an import into the scene. This is important so different sets of input can be separately processed. I'm also looking forward to camera vector paths with the camera having the ability to constantly look at keyframed invisible objects.
You can import the GS on to blender using an addon, at the moment is quite slow in blender viewport as GS, but if the built their own I think it would be much more optimized!
When looking at the top bar ("File", "Edit", ...."Help"), the app looks as is it were a Mac app. But from what I know there is no Mac version, right? (Which is a pity, btw!) But I wonder: how did you make the video?
Thanks for the Z-Depth! You guys are amazing!

Awesome!!!
Amazing guys!! Please work on a blender add on!
Great job! Have you ever thought of implementing export in blender?

Reeeally cool update! Keep it up!
Superb Update!
Stunning
Hey Jascha, I really like Postshot just as I loved T4D. Is there any chance that you could implement the Meshing algorithm of the Gaussian Splats?
Would the after-effects plugin work on mac?
