I'm old. I've been into metal and the subsequent genres for a long time relative to the lifespan they each have. I've had the pleasure of being here to watch thrash metal transform into death metal, black metal, nu metal, all the many metals. I believe we are currently in a golden age of metal music.
For a long time I personally felt most metal music didn't get the recognition it deserved as an art form, and sometimes felt it was doomed to be an underappreciated subculture for my lifetime. I'm so happy to see I was wrong.
Anyway I just wanted to express how happy it makes me to see people who haven't been submerged in the music be excited about it whether it's from an artistic or scientific standpoint or both.
