- After almost 2 years of my books being in storage, it's finally time to set up my brand new bookshelves and reunite all my books together again!
Slightly chaotic, slightly awkward, but I'm very proud of this video and the end result (I can't stop staring at my new shelves lol), and I can't wait to see what you guys think! 💖✨

It’s refreshing to see a booktuber with similar reading interests to my own. It’s hard finding videos where majority of the books aren’t fantasy. Your bookshelves came out great!
Thank you so much! Us literary fiction and classics readers gotta stick together 🥰✨
I'm so glad your channel was in my recommendations, it's always great to find new booktubers who like literary fiction. I'd love a bookshelf/collection tour video!
Thank you so much! 🥰✨
This was so therapeutic!! Would LOVE to see a bookshelf tour
Thank you so much! 🥰
I love how calming and comforting bookshelf organisation videos are ☺️
i feel like if you want them to be your favorite author then they can be your favorite author it’s up to you…
That’s a good point! ☺️
You have an amazing collection! Would love to see a bookshelf tour where you talk through the collection and show us your favorites etc. Maybe in several parts since there's so much to see :)
Omg thank you! 🥰 Hahaha yeahhh it might be a long process 😅😂
took the words out of my mouth. I agree.
please please please do a book shelf tour and, if you can, show EVERY book or at least a solid shot of each shelf. i’ve never found a booktuber with taste as similar to mine and i neeeeeed to see everything you have 😭❤️
Omg Thankyou so much! I love this comment 🥰✨
I can see it already the bookshelf tour is going to be sooo long 😅😂
I totally agree! It's so refreshing to see a booktuber with more than just fantasy and romance omgg
We definitely need a full tour!
"Bookshelf extenders?" What sweet sorcery is this?! This was the antidote to watching Ashley Tisdale send her husband out to buy 400 books to "decorate" her empty shelves.
For organizing, something I learned from Dana K. White (here on YT) is to ask, "Where would I look for this first?" Not where "should" I put this or what category will it fit in--because some books could go in a lot of different categories! So the key is to work WITH your brain. I have a TBR shelf, (OK, shelves!) divided by fiction & non-fiction, reference books, favourites & ones that I re-read every year, etc. And then because I have bookcases in every room, books in the bedroom lean toward fiction, whereas reference books stay in my office. The Dewy Decimal System would definitely not work for me, because that's not how my brain works--but holla to all the librarians out there!
Omg I love that! Yeah I think the Dewey decimal system is too scientific (?) for me, I want my shelves to be a bit more fluid and just embrace the chaos. I love your advice about thinking where would I look for this book? That’s such great advice. I seem to think of the author when I think of a book, which is why a lot of it is organised with authors associated together 🥰✨
@@literally_elly Yes! "Embrace the chaos." My new mantra. Ha!
Seeing/reading the books someone reads is like listening to the music they do…it tells so much about someone
That’s so true ☺️✨
I wish I had space for so many bookshelves 🥹 you organized them so beautifully 🥰
Aw thank you so much! 🥰☺️
@@literally_elly 🥰😍❤️
Love seeing videos like this!! Gorgeous bookshelves 💛💛
Thank you so much! Me too! 🥰✨
watching this process was so fun! I loved seeing you pause during the sped-up moments because I could just SEE the gears turning 😂😂 loved this video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! 🥰 The gears were very much turning 😂 sometimes very slowly 😅
Wow very lovely bookshelves it resembles so much my new one that I ordered recently but with a brown color as my home furniture is brown but there is a difference in one thing that I don't have such English books collection which makes me so sad because English books are so expensive in my country and I can barely have some, the books I've collected through my entire life is Arabic and french as I am an author, because my country is fluent in french more than English, if you want to get rid next time of some books I will be glad to receive them in my home and I will be thankful indeed. By the way I love the way that you can build a new shelves to the ordinary ones wow that's so nice to have more rooms to more books.
Thank you so much! Your new bookshelves look amazing by the way! 😊
I would love to see your classics collection 🤩
The book tour is (slowly) coming I swear! I want to rearrange some things, including my classics shelves so that video will probably come first ☺️
Great bookshelves!
Thank you so much! 🥰
I need more book shelves!! My books just pool out everywhere
Hahah oh no! Treat yourself to new bookshelves! 😍
I'm so glad you have 'a fine balance'!! did you read it? What did you think??
I just got it actually! I'm very excited to read it though! I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'll be reading it this year, that's for sure! 😊✨
we don't have a very similar reading interest but still i enjoyed your bookshelves so much, there was some books that got me curious and ofc some books i've read myself! so cool, subscribed :)
Thank you so much! 🥰✨
So glad I found your channel! Its really hard to find Australian booktubers on here. It's really nice to see so many of my favourite Australian authors on here, like Jane Harper, Craig Silvey, Trent Dalton and, of course, one of my favourite series, tomorrow when the war began by John Marsden. Love your bookshelf set up btw. Keep up the great videos : ).
Thank you so much! Australian fiction has so much to offer doesn’t it?! Can’t wait to read and share more on here 🥰✨
@@literally_elly Australian fiction is truly underrated. Can't wait for more videos!
Okay, I''ll be your 100th subscribir just because this video was so cool! we have very similar taste it seems
I am really really jealous of your amazing and fantastic book 📖 shelve love it 🥰
Hahahah thank you! ☺️✨
@@literally_elly no worries 😉
Wow! You put a lot of thought into your bookshelves. I have mine arranged by size and color. I don't want 3 or 4 books of the same color together. I want my selves to be colorful but I do want them arranged tall to short.
Hahaha thank you! 🥰 I mean, some of the shelves are a mess but let’s ignore them 😅😂
@@literally_elly no, they look great. I was just telling you how I do my shelves. I'm impressed with all the work you put into yours.
@@debbiewoten9403 Thankyou! Sorting by colour is a lot of work too! I did it once and it took so long, so I’m impressed that you organise by colour, and by size! ☺️
that's some serious shelves 😅
Hahahaha thank you!
@@literally_elly your welcome
Why don't you try the Dewey Decimal system, like in libraries? PS> I LOVE the fact that you have an Irvine Welsh book! I have read 90% of his stuff! :)
Ooh I hadn’t thought of that. I might look into that system ☺️ thank you!
Do you have a favourite Welsh? I have Glue and skagboys but can’t decide which one to read first because I think they’re part of different series?
Do you have a notebook 📓 or file with thr list of your 📖? 😊
I use goodreads to keep track of all the books I own, have read, haven't read, etc. I've found it's the best way for me personally to keep track of my books 😊✨
There’s a movie starring Mel Gibson where the CIA forces him to give away his location by making him buy another copy of Catcher in the Rye. Conspiracy Theory.
Omg that's gold 😂 I'm watching that asap 😂
