I think it would have been an appropriate test to also see what happens with all the options, when they're all in the yard/canteen. as opposed to within their cell
Looking at the design of the prison I think you could remove the section with solitary and the door and have the only door to the outside be through the fence in the yard. That way there's no more situation where someone attack the door without a sniper being able to target them.
