I wouldn't say it's the best of the best. Players sit out or skip the game because of 'injuries' and every team gets a representative in the game. Deserved or not.

It's the only game where you probably won't hurt yourself and ruin your season, that's a big reason why it's the best.

As a National League fan, even though I’m bummed that they lost again but it was a great game to watch the American League players show off their talent especially Shohei Ohtani and Giancarlo Stanton. And as a Dodgers fan, congrats to Stanton being the All Stars MVP! 👏🏼⚾️

I am an American League fan and not so long ago the National League won every year. They won so much that it seemed that the American League would never win again. Don't worry...things will swing back to the National League eventually.

I’m glad there’s some tough competition within the American League especially the AL East. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the teams in that division wins the 2022 World Series especially the Yankees are (I hate to say this) historically the best team in baseball and have the best record so far.

As a Yankee fan watching Stanton hit home runs left and right I am always amazed at the strength of this gentleman because he doesn't look like he puts a lot of effort on that swing and the ball just flies... I can only imagine if he actually puts up a brutal full swing into one, like Soto or acuña, or vlady... of these balls where will it land
How in the world did Buxton get his bat up that high, that fast?! He’s insane!
It's clear from his arm path that he was sitting middle-middle heater, too. He just has ridiculous bat speed and arm strength that let him get the bat to where it needed to be.

I saw a tweet that said this was the first game in about a month that Ohtani won that he hadn't pitched in. That must sting. Why are the Angels so incompetent as a team. It's downright painful to watch.

Great games, although this ASG seems to be what the modern MLB games nowadays. Tonnes of K, scoring via HR, and walks. Wish there are more baserunners.

did you watch the game? people couldnt even get anything out the infield because of the way they play defense now. walk or hr is the only way to score now. itll probably change next year though
I think a problem with the ASG is that there are too many pitchers on the rosters. It's near-impossible to beat the best pitchers in the game coming in fresh every inning or two.

This is the best all star game of the three sports because the players take the game seriously and give the fans what they wanna see unlike the NBA.

The Braves 5 position players who hit in this game went 2-9 (singles) and made outs in huge spots🤣🤣 Brian snitker took Mookie betts out a home player that was voted to start after 1 at bat in which he hit an RBI single ./ goldschmidt hit a homer and he got 1 at bat too 😂 it was managed so stupidly it doesn’t count but still you don’t wanna see scrubs in there 70% of the game meanwhile actual good stars barely play .. again a Braves show since he was manager

@@andrewbees5705 Right, because the rest of the players on the NL squad did so great. The Braves players went 2-9 but that was 2 more hits than a lot of the rest of the NL players got. At least Acuna scored a run. When your team wins the World Series your manager can play who ever they want too.

Such a shame Harper wasn’t there. He deserved to play in that game, especially after being robbed of an All-Star visit last year and was putting up another MVP season this year. Not mad at Blake Snell, but I hate that Harper wasn’t there.
Harper would have hit a grandslam In first inning and Brian snitker would have sat him for Travis darnaud after that so he didn’t miss much.. it was basically the Braves/garret copper/Jake cronenworth vs the AL 😂🤣

Honestly the Cleveland Guardians players SHINED this game. Andres Gimenez beautiful DP, JRam 2 singles, Emmanuel Clase 10 pitch 3Ks to end the game, made it look easy at the end.

I saw some of the All-Star Game, and was impressed by Gimenez' (Guardians) play at second base with that stab of the line drive and behind the back throw to second to start the DP. On the highlights, I was, also, impressed that Ramirez (Guardians) hit the single that led to Stanton (Yankees) hitting the two-run homer to tie the game at 2-2. Then, came the game-winning homer that did it for the AL. Another ASG, another AL win. Thanks for showing the highlights.
Don't forget the near-immaculate inning for Clase (also Guardians).
