    I never tire of listening to Scott Hahn. He is the closest thing to a spiritual director I can get.

    75 years a Catholic and every time I listen to Scott Hahn I hear something I feel I should have known for so many years. Thank you Scott Hahn for teaching us in a direct language, for always showing the connection between the Old and New Testaments.

    When I was newly returned to the Catholic church after decades away, I read and listened to all of Scott Hahn's and Jeff Cavins' material that I could. They were my "mentors".

    I loved scrolling through good stories and motivational talks until one day I just accidentally heard about Dr. Scott Hahn, from that moment on I started following him because of his great love for the Eucharist and his realization about Mother Mary.

    68 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has visited his people, he has set them free,
    69 and he has established for us a saving power in the House of his servant David,
    70 just as he proclaimed, by the mouth of his holy prophets from ancient times,
    71 that he would save us from our enemies and from the hands of all those who hate us,
    72 and show faithful love to our ancestors, and so keep in mind his holy covenant.
    73 This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
    74 that he would grant us, free from fear, to be delivered from the hands of our enemies,
    75 to serve him in holiness and uprightness in his presence, all our days.
    76 And you, little child, you shall be called Prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare a way for him,
    77 to give his people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,
    78 because of the faithful love of our God in which the rising Sun has come from on high to visit us,
    79 to give light to those who live in darkness and the shadow dark as death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace.
    80 Meanwhile the child grew up and his spirit grew strong. And he lived in the desert until the day he appeared openly to Israel.

      The church is not identical with the roman one. The church is wherever the law/gospel distinction is rightly preached and the sacraments properly ministered, as means of grace.

    *CHRIST SPEAKS REGARDING BAD POPES*
    Mt. 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman *of THE HOUSE* had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and *would not have suffered HIS HOUSE to be BROKEN UP.*
    44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
    45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, *whom his lord hath made RULER over HIS HOUSEHOLD* to give them meat in due season?
    46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
    47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him *RULER over all his goods.*
    48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
    49 *And shall begin to smite his fellowservants,* and to eat and drink with the drunken;
    50 The *lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,*
    51 *And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.*

    From the beginning of the speech, the roman catholic error appeared prevalently. The error is they misinterpret the Bible as they deny the law/gospel distinction. The emphasis of Christ when he warned against some who worked miracles was about the faith with which they did them. Their faith was ''against my Fathre's will''. What is the will of his Father? The gospel. That men are saved only by grace, through the gift of faith in Christ alone. They did their miracles off this faith, without this faith, focused in themselves. Roman Catholic teaching of holiness is exactly this, i.e. focus inside you. This is not the gospel. This is law. Find more about the confessional lutheran theology.

      @@hotconcrete and dr Hahn and the other speakers can not reach the theological level of Luther and the lutheran confessions. I know the roman catholic faith because I studied it in depth. Do you know the lutheran one, the one and only genuinely catholic, orthodox and evangelical? I 'm sorry. You can not reach any theological depth because you do not know the gospel and you insist in your ignorance. It is obvious from the shallowness οf your answer.
