What a lovely bike and all ready for touring with those panniers and top box. I have worked on, owned and ridden most sizes and configurations of British bikes and came to the conclusion that the ohv 350 single is the best. Low stressed engine that will cruise at 55mph all day, which is as fast as you want to go if you want to enjoy the journey. Very reliable and good fuel consumption. My next favourite would be a big sv single.

Imagine a time when you could make small motorcycles in England . England used to make such good stuff in the old days.

I was working at the Norton motorcycles bracebridge street Aston Birmingham back in them days and built the rocabox for the model 50 and the es2 never thought they would do that kind of mileage

I think it is a testament to the people that designed and built these bikes and it goes to show that if they are well maintained they will be reliable and do high mileages.

Many model 50s met their demise in the sixties for their featherbed frames.
