According to the suggestion of
a good friend
who has been working as a locksmith for over 35 years
Fill up the pipe with
sea sand
and heat the section of the bending
so it would prevent inner folds

So, if each "side" of the tube starts out at 10" the inside is going to compress that 10" while the outside has to stretch to cover the same area. That causes the wrinkling effect on the inside of more extreme bends.

I see what you're saying. Just strange that it only does it to the 1 1/2 and not the 1" tube. Is that because it's smaller?
