I saw a lot of negative comments and knew it had to be decent. I’d say “best” is clickbait but good focus, good minimalism, good dialogue, great storyline, good acting, and best of all it did not remind me of Hollywood every five seconds. The worst movies are high budget. This had a real human element. Thank you.

This is a good watch . It is not a block buster .

For small budget this is more than passable...but any 5-10 minute slice of Open Range would be off the charts by comparison. And that had plenty of slow moving parts as well. But do keep 'em coming.

This is one of the best story lined western today. Anyone who doesn't like this movie most likely never seen any Western movies. This is my opinion only and not for the peanut gallery to attack.

i had the pleasure/honor of serving with john marrs (the sheriff) in a central California law enforcement agency for about twenty years. he was a great cop and, as it turns out, he's a great actor!. i had heard he was involved in the industry after he retired, but this is the first time i've actually seen one of the films he's performed in. bravo, john! i enjoyed the movie right up until the time you took a round to the head. too close to home, old friend.... best wishes, brother. darren
In my experience, cops have to be good actors. The good ones anyway.

I am not a fan of the western genre, but I liked the movie. It kept my attention and the anticipation of putting it together. I would recommend it.👍🏻🎉

While you are correct that the 1800s were a little too early for asphalt shingles, there were actually invented in 1903. There were asphalt based shingles in 1893 though.

@@goodcitizen3780 Look at the date that it came out bro. 1903 This movies setting is in the 1800 hundreds, where the towns were ghost towns, most roof tops were made of metals, mud tiles or shakes. Not composition. That kind of roof didn't come out until the 1900's. Now if the setting of the movie was that of the 1900's then I'm in error, however I understand the move to take place in the setting of the 1800's which would make me correct. Either way, who fucking cares.

To begin with, asphalt roofing came out in the 1800's, so oopsies to you on that one. Secondly, composition, by definition, means a number of materials to make up a whole. We can look from thatched roofing and sod to planks and shakes and metal sheeting and everywhere in between and we will see that most roofs were, in fact, ... I don't really need to go on. Like you said, who cares.

28 minutes into this, and so far its a story about a woman who cheated on her decent husband with a man who tried to steal other peoples property. Then she murdered a man and put many others in danger to bust said thief out of jail. And some people are bothered by the mistake with the roof shingles? What a world we live in...
Good movie with the exceptionof the rifles/gun shots sound like a pellet gun and the fighting wasn't convincing.
The woman's pistol would likely have been a small caliber revolver using low grain-weight bullets befitting carriage by the gentler sex. These do sound like a crack rather than a bang.

1st mistake of the movie. Asphalt shingles were invented in 1903 in Grand Rapids Michigan, dimensional style of shingles came out in the 1970's. They should not have been used in this movie.
