I can’t wait to start on my Flying Dutchman. I have a few ideas of modifications that I would like to do. Like making the mouth longer in front of the ship and having the sails tattered and maybe covering the whole model in clear glow in the dark paint to give it that ghostly haze look. So many ideas, so little time. Keep up the awesome build
Sounds like we have a lot in common! I totally agree regarding the mouth. It’s just not right in the kit. I hope my efforts encourage your own creativity.👍👍🏴☠️
As I was putting it together I thought it would have been better to have a set of wooden blocks as you mentioned…. I think that would have worked better and faster. I was waiting for each one to dry because if I bumped them they would move out of square 🫨. But I got thru it…. Maybe next time I’ll remember the blocks 👍👍
Hi Dan, as suggested using small blocks can help keep the 90° you are trying to reach. I use some old Legos, these are out of plastic and cone in different sizes, the advantage to the plastic is it is easier to remove from the white glue. Just an idea 😊

good start I use a small square block to structure a true 90 Deg. frame ... works well and firms things up well ....have a good build
