BOAT EXPLODES After Fueling | Daytona Beach, FL | Halifax Harbor Marina 21AUG2022

sorry there wasn't more footage, I was on the phone with 911 (local news released call) and directing traffic thru the marina.
This is what happens when you add alcohol to stupidity. It results in serious injury, PTSD, damage and destruction, luckily not including death this time. This boater took at least 10 minutes to dock at the fuel dock (because super drunk). The engine sounded like a dump truck while they were attempting this. Then after fueling 50 gallons of gasoline into the tanks, an intoxicated boater, also not the owner, started the boat right away without turning on blowers to give the vapors a literal minute to clear… this is what happens when you miss this crucial step.
The owner, once back on land, was crying because his boat blew up but didnt care about the humans he had on board and almost killed. He didn’t care one bit about them. This person’s behavior was disgusting. Just sayin’ …. It’s not like anyone read this anyways.
