Time to say goodbye to my RP3 Rowing Machine

I've been lucky enough to have had loan of an RP3 rowing machine for the past few months. But it's time to give it back.
Here's why - and why I'm a little sad to see it go.

RP3 is my dream machine. Always wanted one but it is rightfully way more expensive (~3x) than C2 model D which I also love.

It IS amazing for that. Maybe try to see if any local rowing places have this, or a Concept2 Dynamic rower?

@@rowalong I have a Concept2 already. This just look like it gives more of a leg workout.

@@averageamericangirl6819any rowing machine should be giving you a leg workout- rowing is a leg exercise after all. I think you need to work on your technique

Looks amazing! Do you think it’s comparable to the C2 with slides?

In terms of rowing feel etc, yes. Although the RP3's pace is a couple of seconds quicker than my static C2.

Try the Concept2 Dynamic. Same principle as RP3 but much cheaper!

What it’s like to the concept 2

To row on? From a rowing point of view? Better. From a user experience point of view, in terms of apps etc - it doesn’t match up to C2. And it’s a LOT louder.
But from a rowing technique / feel etc - it’s better. Put the C2 on slides, and C2 is better overall.

From a space point of view, if I wanted to go further down this route, I'd get the C2 Dynamic rather than slides.

I ended up keeping the RP3. I love it, but I also love my water rower, concept2 and Aviron.
