i remember those days in the late 70s when I would listen to ( & enjoy very much) music from groups such as Racey, Pilot, Queen, The Sweet, 10CC & yes, even ABBA. Please bring back those wonderful, carefree days when life was really good-- & SAFE. We didn't even have to lock our doors in those days & kids could play creely in the streets without parents worrying about their safety. Great music 🎶 ✔ 👍 Fantastic times ⚠

Statisticaly children were at greater risk of harm both domestically and from strangers. Wife's were routinely beaten and no one said a word. Conditions in the workplace and the standard of living were markedly lower. The good old days only exist in your imagination.

Totally agree. Perverts have always been around. I remember a couple of incidents happening with my childhood friends near our home with strange men exposing themselves, saying sexual things to us, etc.
We lived in a quiet semi rural area near a woods and railway in North West England. These things happened and we never told our parents or teachers. It makes me angry looking back these horrid, vile men got away with it.

It's hard and pain full to listen to modern music since it's just not what I'm use to with stuff like rap music, drum and bass and these modern artists sware and talk about drugs guns etc. in my opinion the 70's was the best decade for music since a band could be found from no where (the Rubettes for example) and still have chart success

79' what a year for music!! i was 7 at the time but Pop Music, I Don't Like Mondays, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Brick In The Wall etc were all released that year if I remember. Possibly an ABBA song of some sort, anyway. Good shit is what I'm tryin to say really.

When songs were fun, and life was free to a sort, not like today everybody wants to screw somebody over, no respect for any one.
Glad I have been able to enjoy those years, unlike to day.

This song was really something when it came out,I'm from the Netherlands and it was an enormeous hit overthere,it was also my first single that I bought.
Now I'm 40,still have that single, these days this song sounds "old" and it's easy for people to critisme this song and old fashioned
style. But when it came out,I went to Beligium Spain, and Luxembourg and everybody, young and old loved that song, the white shoes and dancing steps.
It was a great year and song
