    fun fact: 2ts have more HP per cc than 4ts. so thats why 125 2ts are faster/ more powerful than 250 4ts. only thing I would think a 125 would be better to hop on from an 85 would be that its so light compared to a 250 4t, and that its a full size bike.

      @verttisyrjala2897 Před 7 lety +3

      Yeah. And 125's only make like 2-3hp less than the 250f's and are much lighter

      Dude you are an idiot. Yes a two stroke make more power per cc but a 250f makes alot more ho than a 125 2stroke. Which makes sense because it has twice the cc. In comparison though a factory 250 2st can make about 50hp and a 250f factory bike about 46

      HP is only one part of the story. Tractability is super important. I do believe everyone should start on 125s though, even grown adults.

      @haydenfink2546 Před 3 lety +2

      On bikes that old they dont make cranks for them so u have to take the crank to a place to rebuild it usually honda

    What’s the max weight of a rider you would put on a 125? I’m 190-195 and am looking to build one for hairscrambles.

      thats pretty risky. i'm 140 pounds and 6'0 and i could only imagine about 175 pounds being comfortable.

      I have a YZ250 2 stroke and a YZ125 two-stroke and the 250 has so much power it isn't fun for me to ride but I have a blast on the 125 so much fun!!!

      I’ve got a 2007 RM 250. During COVID 1.0 I tore it down to nothing and redid everything. Too much to list but a few of the things are Wiseco Racers Elite YZ piston, VForce3, Lectron, Wiseco clutch, Pro Circuit P/S, and will be getting a Magura Hydraulic and the suspension done soon. Had the F/SA powder coated black. So much more power than stock. I bought it in ‘08 from a guy who moved his kid from an 80 skipping a 125 and realized the 250 was too much. Score at $3k almost new!
