  • We all know the story of Benedict Arnold, and how he betrayed his new country to the British. But few know the role his wife, Peggy Shippen Arnold, played in his treasonous act. In this episode, we’ll tell the story of Benedict and Peggy Arnold. In spite of them, Chef Staib prepares a favorite dish of the time, Lobster and Corn Fritters and Baked Veal Chops with Braised Artichokes.

I'm sad that I didn't get a chance to get to Pennsylvania and dine at City Tavern, but grateful for these videos!

    Asbestos fingers.
Very sorry that City Tavern closed. Glad his business is bigger than just that.

As a long time viewer, I sometimes have trouble watching this man with his constant self promoting, congratulatory, flamboyant language. "Look at those onions, perfect, just the way I want them, tremendous." Yes, it is time for an ovation when a master chef with decades of experience can handle an onion. Interesting episode as always but this is just something that has irked me for a while.
