BRO! you saved my life!!!! I couldn't find anything that would help my BIOS read my additional M2 ssd until I found this little vid. You are a rockstar! I can't believe more tutorials don't include that tip you just gave! Whew... over an hour trying to figure it out and you solved the problem in 3 mins! HUGE THANK YOU!!
PS. It did disable my PCIe Wifi adaptor in the Express slot... but moving that adaptor to a lower 16bit slot of my board (so its not sharing with the M2) was a good work around.
Heck if someone wants to do more of this, more power to 'em! But if they promise and can't deliver... well thats on them 🤷♂️ Also comments for the algorithm gods
Some motherboards with multiple m.2 slots will only allow one of them to be used as a boot drive. Check your user manual first, and if its a second hand board you can find the manual of the manufacturers site.
2024 Thanks... I had 2 ASUS Z97 Hero Maximus VII boards with i7-4790k and i5-4690k loading Windows 10 on both... either would pick up the M.2s .... one was a 500GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus.... 2nd was a 1TB WD Black SN770... had to do this a few times but got both to work... Thanks again :)

Only setting I see remotely close to this is “bandwidth bifurcation configuration” the only options I have to select are Auto Mode, X8/X8, or PCIe RAID Mode
M.2 mode was not in the options so I tried disabling ( wait for ‘F1’ if error ) option under boot configuration and it worked to some extent meaning I still get the POST screen but after 2 to 3 secs it boots to windows !
I just figured out how to solve that POST screen. Just enable CSM and disable any overclocking. Save and exit Bios. Then go into Bios again and press F5 for default settings. Save and exit again. That fixed the problem. It apparently doesn’t like me using the X.M.P Ram overclocking.
@@PenPineappleApplePen007 Oh wow ! To be honest I do not mind that POST screen as long as it does boot to windows and I wouldn’t sacrifice overclocking DDR5 ram sticks for this simple error (which is not affecting anything at the moment at least) to be fixed. btw thank you for sharing the solution
