  • Chris from Rekkid Talk went to some towns he hadn't gone to before to look for rekkids in the usual types of places. The highlight of the day was almost the standard Americanized Chinese food he had for lunch.

I remember that song by Al Martino called Walking in the Sand back in 1972. You flipped through the records , and an album was there by him.

Ronnie and the Sonics almost had a Camper Van vibe when the first song started!

Nice find in the wild. You seem as excited as I was when I found a copy of Love Gun with the gun. I love exploring those flea markets also. What is the oddest thing you saw on sale st one of those?

I love the Amish booths with furniture and weird pickled foods. They never have any good rekkids, though.

GPS used to be hopeless here. I would warn people, but did they listen?! I would see dust rising from a dirt road across the valley from me and know it was the person that was supposed to be coming here. They would be 10 miles away.

I looked up the place I was trying to find on Google Streetview and it was small and easy to miss.

Hi Chris!!! well after all those boring and lame antique mall/flea market places you did find one cool and still seal record and had americanized chinese food, that's drinking a very "flavorless" beer. cheers and be well

I love shops in rural areas. I always find some fun things. Do you search discogs, popsike or CZcams for a listen before you buy or do you blind buy?

    • @RekkidTalk

It depends on my mood and how expensive something is. The cheaper, the more likely I'll gamble on a blind buy.

Actually those places looks similar than here... So there as Taliban ruled area in US with no music? Do you really drive those places just for records or do you other business there? I visit yeasterday in Iisalmi (120 km from our cabin), but I had to visit in hardware store... also did visit 5 fleamarkets...buying only one album. Wasn't sealed.
