Happy Gatsby Premiere Day! I saw the film last night and I really loved it, so I recommend that you go see it, as well. One of my favorite aspects of this remake has been the stellar soundtrack that they released with it, and this track by Lana Del Rey is one of my favorite songs from it.
I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they even wove the melody into the score a lot throughout the movie, so I quite enjoyed that. This is just a simple rendition of the song in music box style, as you know I love to create. Hope you enjoy!

This music box cover is kind made more child-like, innocent sounding which reminds of the line "The way you'd play with me like a child". Know what I mean? Kind of reminiscent.

When I first watched 'The great Gatsby'...I never think I've been so infuriatingly sad and angry at a fictional character as I was at Daisy...I cried and that isn't something that often happens

In terms of the high notes, I LOVE THEM! I love the way your voice kind of fluctuates/breaks whenever you hit higher notes. I think it's your signature way of singing and I think you should own it and work it! Think about Sia and the way she sings Chandelier live. Sure, her notes aren't cleanly hit but that's what makes her Sia and that's what sets her apart from others. Your high notes are like that! :)

I love your version, as much as I enjoy Lana's version of this song. Hers has this impression of fleeting glory, all the grandeur you listen will be gone & you know it. As for yours it has this calm & almost innocent feel, melancholy yet assuring. Great vocal & the music box arrangement is awesome!
