My 55 bit the dust worked good last season now has a hard pull cant pull it to start tried everything i could think of to fix nobody can figure it out i guess it got arthritus it just cant hardly move anymore RIP ole 55
I've had a few years where I was counting on good weather to process some firewood and ended up with nothing but rain. I've learned to start way earlier in the season! Good luck
@@damianursusc362 55 I just rebuilt it , I got a new Mark 2 hard to start and when i do get going shut down. I got heck of a deal on it . 120.00 cause giving hard time so instead of return I ask just lower price. a 16 inch. Do you have a Idea what to check? Brand new saw . Thank you.
So im not rhe only one who noticed that. I prefer sharpening chains with a basic bare bones rat tail file and every once in a while i have to adjust the rakers with a flat metal file. Its slower but i feel it saves me from taking to much off at once.
I wouldn’t call that sharpening. I’m not being an A-hole but that was honestly the worst technique I have ever seen sharpening a chain. You can see how dull it is when he is bucking the log and forcing the saw. You shouldn’t attempt the following but a properly sharpened chain should cut right through the wood holding it lightly with one arm.
I have a Napoleon nz 3000 The front of the stove is wider than the back. So I cut my wood lengths between 16 inches and 21 inches. My Napoleon stove is awesome. It looks like an insert but it is duct work into the furnace and heats the whole house pretty even.
I still prefer the electric chainsaw sharpener. The stihl sharpener it’s handy to leave in the four wheeler. And it does a pretty good job sharpening the chainsaw on the go. Thanks for watching my friends
Wow. Didnt have the time to cut wood last year didn't have the time to sharpen the chain the right way saw cuts like crap you don't use it right and throw a few wheelbarrows worth in a ranger and call it a load .. Idk know but it sure seams like you have life issues not a firewood problem... 😆 But hey he made a video and has some people following him...😆 🤣 😂
Good show !! Love my 55 I have had 6 of them, buying and selling them. Got two good ones now that are keepers.
I love my 55 they are my go too saws. Thanks for watching man
@@cheaphomesteading 140psi Good compresion 372xp oem ?
That has to be the most ridiculous way I’ve ever seen someone sharpen a chain.
Well the saw sure is cutting pretty darn good the chain seems very sharp
I think your definition of sharp is different from mine! I've never seen a chain sharpened that way in my 40 years of logging!
Does the 55 have compression relief
My 55 does but I just plugged it.
Nice job dropping that tree I miss burning firewood I love splitting it
Love my husky 55 works like a champ if you run canned gas otherwise it needs the corroborator adjusted every time the weather changes.

@@victormurski112 Probable top end sized, put a new top end off a Stihl 028
Great video. That old 55 still cuts good. I've got a newer than that but still older 455 that cuts good. Every year it just keeps on going.
They are great chainsaws. I have a stihl but my favourite by far is the husky
10 minutes of proper sharpening will save you a lot time

Great video Pete! I enjoy cutting and splitting ash but your right, it sure is dangerous! Good work, that saw was cutting nice! Take care
I love my Husqvarna 570! I hope you get enough dry days to get all your fire wood.
WHAT A VOICE!!!
I enjoy working with my 55 Rancher farm tough!!

@@allenletizia321 the New ones are burning hard.
Mine Has 14 inch guides
Burning hard? How do you fix that? You know.
So painful to watch. So dangerous using a dull chain.
Last summer sucked. I worked all day came home tired looking forward to the weekend for wood cutting and it would rain.
I like that chainsaw sharpener you have, keep up the good work man
Thanks for watching
Please learn how to sharpen your chain properly. One direction. You can do double the work with half the effort
Give the guy a break it's not like he has a vice near by to sharpen his saw
I haw two of them one is 45cm long bar and one 38cm long bar the 38cm bar is brutal compared to 45cm no lagg at all
Definitely the bigger bar take more power to run. Thanks for warning man
Vai que vai parese ser mais forte que a 61 .👏💪
Dull. You are kinda sloppy at sharpening. Dull chain is hard on the saw

Its a hard pull
Sharpen .. wait, what?
Can we focus on the fact that I'm pretty sure he only sharpened 1/3 of the chain

Nice job.
