- With 19 days until the California International Marathon Hiruni Wijayaratne (Sir Lankan National Record Holder over 13 distances including the Half Marathon and Marathon) tackles a speed workout.
The workout: 1 Mile at Threshold. 6 sets of (600m + 200m), 1 Mile at Threshold.
Accompanied by Hiruni is Molly Gabill (70:40 Half Marathoner), Nell Rojas (2:27 Marathoner, 6th at Boston 21') and Elizabeth Weiler. Overlooking the workout is coach Rick Rojas.

I know this channel is mostly for workout videos (and I kind of hope that always stays the focus) but if there was some content checking in on these runners after they run their races that would be dope. Would love to see Raneri and Butler and all the folks talk about their races in retrospect.
I think their podcast does that - they had Parker Stinson recently after his Boston race.

No disrespect meant by this but a genuine question: how is it that some, (or really a good portion) of trainers, are very out of shape themselves? Granted, I understand that they're not the ones running the races, but still confounding. Any insight would be much appreciated.

I am 47, male. I just did a track workout this morning - 7 x 600m, 1:59 avg. These women are running very well! I do not think I could keep up with them. But I would be close.
