      Suggestions on what trails you like would be great!! It's been a few years since I was out there with my son. Used to have a 1970 Toyota FJ40. Also roads motorcycle trails out there as well.

      You're very welcome!! We actually received some flack for sharing coordinates so now give them out when we are asked. Yes, Browns Camp is in the Tillamook Forest. We took our maiden voyage down that way when we started. Thank you very much for watching!!

    Those are some tight trails! I've been to Brown's Camp once about 18 years ago, tagging along in my buddy's 2-door Wrangler Rubicon. His was a stock rig and I was super impressed at some of the trails it was able to traverse. But we didn't do anything as gnarly as that trail you were on at the end. That would have made me more than a little nervous. Thanks for sharing!

      Yes they are a bit tight. Scraped my awning on that tree but didn't damage it thank goodness. Been a while for me too. A few years ago, maybe 2013 went out there with my 1970 Landcruiser FJ40. Sold that 8-9 years ago but wasn't my daily driver so didn't matter as much back then.
      Was with a group so didn't have much input on where to go. Just got in line but had a lot of fun.
      Certainly should have walked down into that last section first and would not have attempted it without skid plates. Something else to buy...
      Glad you liked the video. Stay tuned for more camping and overlanding content. Thought I'd make one on how we find off grid camping spots perhaps.
      Have a great rest of your day and thank you for tuning in 👍😊!!

    Enjoying your videos! That huge rock section looked dicey! Trying to learn more about trail driving. What do you guys do if someone is coming the opposite way on those tight trails and it isn't easy to find a place to pull to the side (and isn't an uphill or downhill situation)? Do you use any online trail map apps that may indicate points where someone can pull over?

    • @woggersoverlandadventures
      @woggersoverlandadventures  Před rokem +1

      Thank you very much!! We are glad you are enjoying them. Spurs us on to make more :). Yah had I walked down into that rock section I probably would not have gone down there😬. Was at a point of no return. Just hoped I didn't break anything being my daily driver.
      On the narrow sections. Some of the trails in that area we were in are marked as one way. As far as in general though, we do not have an app and have not seen one that marks narrow sections. We use GAIA, and OnX Offroad while on the trail. To find places we also use Google maps and Google Earth which would be helpful to see pullouts. When we are exploring and it gets narrow I just try to take note of places to pull out along the way, as well as places to turn around. Once we pass another one I can forget the one before🤔. Usually, even on shelf roads there will be places that you can move over. People are usually very respectful so when you see another vehicle coming you both start looking for a place between you or have to backup some. Even shelf roads will have a place to move over every hundred yards or so. Hope this helps and thank you very much for watching!!!

      Thank you for the reply on the trail etiquette situations! Much appreciated! Looks like you have a great group of trailing friends! Love the Hood River and Mt Hood area!!!! Use to visit regularly (to windsurf) back in the mid 90's to mid 2000's. I have a best bud that owns a restaurant in HR, so took the family out this past June to see friends and to show my son about this wonderful place he had only heard stories about! I realize that I'm some random person on the "internet", but on a somber note, my heart goes out to your family for your loss this past Dec. FWIW said some words for ya and sent some good vibes your way! All the best!

      @@brianmckenzie1318 Thank you very much for your kind words on our loss. It certainly has been very difficult to find joy these past few months. Overlanding is a healing source for us and we love the outdoors. I used to do volunteer Ski Patrol on Mt. Hood until I broke my femur up there patrolling. Kinda slowed me down a bit, so bought the Jeep to stay active out there. Never have tried windsurfing but it is fun to watch them out there! Cool that you have friends there and are familiar with the area. Fun for you and your son to visit your stomping grounds I'm sure. Thank you for the good vibs and the words for us. As they say you have to live every day like it's your last. One never knows. Take care of you and yours and thank you for sharing :)

      @@brianmckenzie1318 Hi Brian, I have a question. We just are getting started on this CZcams journey as well as editing. We are enjoying sharing our experiences with you and many others. Can you please tell me what you like best about the videos? I would just like to make more of what people like. If you have another overlanding CZcamsr you like to watch that might help as well. No obligation to answer I'd just like your opinion. It matters. Have a great day!!

      Hey Paul! Not sure how much help I will be, but what I really like about the videos I have seen (I plan to watch more!) is that you take me along on a "journey", not just an overland ride. I like that you take time to explain some history about places you are going, you explain a little about the trails, and stop to show some of the beautiful scenery! BTW, I do like the "geeky" gear stuff thrown in some too (as I am a gear junkie at heart). Anyway, I just enjoy the realism of the videos and I get to learn something along the way. As for other CZcamsrs, I really like Eva zu Beck's style of videos. Not necessarily an overlander, but she is an adventurer! Like her, love your use of the drone! That's my 2 cents, hope it helps!

      Thank you for watching and your concern. Fortunately they regulate this area heavily based on burn potential. They actually close this OHV area when there is a fire danger.
