- Reaction to John Wick Chapter 2 and it's glorious! Again, how did Mason Quinn not see these movies???
Badd Medicine here and its reaction time! Keanu Reeves knocks this one out of the park! John Wick chapter 2 does a fantastic job of pulling back the layers and showing us a much deep look into this world. This Gun Fu is just as good as it gets for the modern day action movie. The addition of Laurence Fishburne is great. We thought the villain Riccardo Scamarcio
as Santino D'Antonio was great! Common did fantastic. Ruby Rose character was interesting as well. This did a nice job of keeping the elements of the first John Wick and continued to add with the markers.

The details are also great in this movie.
For example:
Years went by between John Wick and John Wick 2, but only a short period of time in the movies.
Yet, there were still the bullet holes from the first movie in John's house.
Many movies can't even do jump cuts right.

What's amazing about Keanu Reeves... is that at the moment, he's 57 years old. If/when he does John Wick 4...he'll be even closer to 60 years of age....and knowing him, will probably still be doing a lot of the physical action scenes...the fighting, car driving, etc.
I'm also 57, and when I was a teen in the 1970's...someone who was age 60...was considered OLD...even by those in their 40s. And even like on the news now days, you will hear about some 'poor old' 60 year old man who got robbed or something...yet people look at Keanu and see he's still so active, and in shape, it's just hard to think of him as being so close to that age.
Great stuff here. 60 is still young IMO. Yeah, he did everything in 4 again or as much as they would let him. Can't wait!
It's all about how you feel man, look at Mike Tyson, dudes built better then 99.9% of people my age
Diet is huge. A lot of people blow it off, but it's huge aspect. As well as the workout component.

If I find it interesting that people ask if the dog has a name, not what the dog's name is. Almost implying that people in John's line of work shouldn't get attached to anything because it will only become collateral.

Fun fact: A CZcamsr called The Hacksmith made the bulletproof suit from this movie IRL and it actually works! It stopped several bullets from a Sig Sauer P226 pistol and a Vector SMG. It is also screen accurate, sporting the white lines scattered throughout the suit as seen in the film!
I love it in Wick movies when John gets the big guns. Just reminds me of another John, "Now I have a machine gun. Ho, ho, ho."

What really does make me laugh about Winston calling John 'Jonathan' is that John is its own name. It's not short for anything. Jon is short for Jonathan.

I think its supposed to give the illusion of parental influence. like Winston raised him or took him in and him calling him Jonathan is basically a parent using your full name to get your attention or convey importance

Normally that's true. But there are exceptions. My son is named Johnathan. Yes, that is how it's spelled. I wanted him to be able to shorten it to John, and not Jon ,if he wanted it shortened.

Something many don't pick up is WHY normal people don't seem to notice when they're shooting and dropping people around them. It's to show that they exist in a different world from ours. Hidden, out of sight, but among us. It's a clever way of doing it. So middle of a club and he's dropping people... but it's "hidden" from the normal club goers.
I don't know about others but this is best in this series... Probably best action movie I have seen

14:25 "John can speak multiple languages, AND he can sign." I watch polyglot channels like Laoshu505000, Ikenna and Xiaomanyc for this love; I love the idea of speaking with everyone I meet, including signing with deaf people. I am fluent in the 3 languages that were taught to me in school, and I can read cyrillic (Russian), but I don't really understand most of it. I would love to learn more just for the possibility of connecting with more people. :)

I think the reason he runs like that is because of his motorcycle accidents, yes plural! I heard him in one interview (Graham Norton) saying how in one of the accidents that was so bad he saw the bone in his leg! He said he didn’t realize how white the bone was! And how when someone (I think It was the person who hit him) realized who he was asked for his autograph when he had the bone showing in his leg and lost a tooth or so among other things like road rash! Lol like Jesus people there’s a place and time! Lol
John Wick are the top of action movies, the fighting really is like a dance. I love seeing them constantly reloading because it makes the fighting not only more real but serious! I love John’s ability to adapt in fights like he can easily change weapons like he’s always trained with it, or using all sorts of normal objects as weapons, using the environment etc to his advantage. Hes able to change tactics quickly and using something over the enemy that they didn’t think about

Look up on CZcams Graham Norton and Keanu Reeves and you’ll see the small clip saying Keanu Reeves had a horrific motorbike accident from the Graham Norton show CZcams channel. You can find other interviews from different hosts about the other accidents he had, with what the damage was or where and how big the scars are from them! Those ones I know are from American late talk shows but not sure which host

The first one had to lay the ground rules of who John Wick is, which cut into the available story. That constraint was not imposed on this movie.

One of the many great things about the John Wick movies is that they don't kill innocent people. They have conflicts within their criminal circle and it doesn't involve "civilians".

I noticed after watching all 4. The way he fights begin to slow down thought out the movies. Like you can visibly see from how he goes from strategic and quick to very almost weary and sloppy. Like he started as angry to fired trying to survive. Very nice touch they don't do enough in movies

Their business, or their line of work is in assassination. "No business" in continental grounds also means you're not allowed to kill when inside the different continental hotels in the world

I liked the original John Wick better than the Sequel. Here’s my critiques of the sequel:
-I was upset at John for coming back on his word and refusing a blood marker. He knew what he signed up for but still dishonored it. I empathize and understand why he did it but I lost respect for him.
-Also the ending scene where every pedestrian in the entire park just so happened to be hitmen was ludicrous. I had to roll my eyes.
-The scene where John & Cassian shoot at each other in the subway terminal was outlandish. Even with a suppressor, pistol shots are still VERY loud and the crowd would’ve immediately reacted. Suppressors aren’t very quiet in real life.
I rate John Wick: 4.7 out of 5.
