Thunderstorm in North Las Vegas

Another Thunderstorm passed through North Las Vegas on 7/22/09. This time it came over us and brought lots of rain with it. This happened at about 12:00AM-12:30AM.
Scanner audio is heard again and this time its an AWACS for Green Flag, call sign WOOKIE91, and a C-130, call sign KING.

You can tell that lightning strike at 5:28 was close because you can hear the discharge and then the crackle of thunder. The rain was no joke that was some serious stuff. It does say August 22 and this is during the monsoon season, no surprise. Awesome storm.
