Reality check: Every single England manager since Alf Ramsay either didn’t go to Euros at all or bombed out in the group stages (Keegan, Robson, Hoddle, Capello, Taylor), or else they faced lower ranked opposition and went out in the early knockout stages anyway (Erickson, Hodgson).
The only England manager who repeatedly faced higher ranked opposition in the Euros was Venables; the idea that that situation is the norm is a myth. Right now, even accounting for the standard of the opposition, Southgate is the 2nd most successful England manager ever 🤷♂️

Not a single soul in that stadium saw a penalty, including the ref and the English fans, but the corrupt VAR ruined this game before it even started.
