I don’t know if your new to track riding but it looks like you are. If so, good job 👍. Next step is to learn the track, get some instruction on the right lines. Try to break the head vs tyre position problem which is; Your head/vision is over the apex of a turn, on the edge of tarmac and kerb but your tyres are 2 feet away. To get your tyres to hit the apex your head should be on the inside of the kerb. Individual corners may vary. It’s hard but the best way to improve times on a track without a fat wallet is to improve your lines. All the best 👍

Um..thanks. Did you pass me or something there? Was I super slow? I'm not new to track riding. But I'm also not trying to break lap times. Just having fun at track.

@@JENX1976 no my friend, your vid just popped up in my feed and being a Brit with family in the Triumph factory I just had to comment. Also I think bike riders are a bit unique in that we try to help each other no matter what. I can see your not trying to break lap records but we can all be better right? Genuinely just trying to help 👍

It can be demoralising when guys pass you on track. It might not be because your slow just that your on the wrong line. Local knowledge and instructors are invaluable with this. 👍👍

@@terryfier Yeah been there done that. Now I'm old and fat so being passed no longer bothers me. I do enjoy track riding but sadly can't be there every weekend. So when I am there, I tend to take it easier than most.

Also I should say only EVER ride within your own comfort zone. I only ride on track days around 85-90% ability. That gives me mental capacity and safety margin to analyse my performance per lap, be aware of others around me and afford my laundry! 😂
