- The beloved "Linen" Air Force 1 Low is back! In 2001, these were a Japan-exclusive colourway that was since then only retroed once in limited form and released by Kith. But earlier this month Nike finally brought them back, satisfying sneakerheads and Air Force 1 fans worldwide. @@SeanGo FYI, I finally got around to trying my pair on. 100% spot on with the size recommendations. I’m a true size 10 in every shoe but the half size down recommendation for that 9.5 was the play.
Genuinely my grail pair I’ve always wanted to own & happy to have em.

Shouldn’t have paid 400 for my 2001 pair 2 years ago but it’s nice to have this 2024 pair in my collection
I’m a big AF1 advocate. Got to have em in the rotation but plz get me up to speed on what makes this specific color way so special. I missed the memo when these dropped in 01’ and 16’.

@@BigClaunchit’s just a preference thing. When I first saw these, I just knew I wanted them. If you don’t have that feeling, they’re probably not for you.

I passed on these cuz the new balance 991v2 vintage sport caught my eye (great review on those). Fortunately my 2016 pair is still holding up well so I’m sticking with those. The leather quality is so good - hope it’s the same for the 2024 pair. I might restock if resale hits well below retail.
Took an L on snkrs, copped in the secondary market for retail. Can't wait for them to arrive, such a clean pair and looks so buttery.

I clicked because I thought this Air Force 1 was made out of linen upper. 😅
If it was made out of linen material, this would be a hit and very collectible; perfect for wear during hot season months.
In 2001 these were known as the "Buta Force", or Pig Force, hence the coloring. Adjacent to the Animal Pack and designed by Atmos. They didn't sell well and the Japanese were stunned by the foreign demand, which in turn sparked local interest.

I took an L on SNKRS, so bought off StockX for a $15 premium.

these are not a general release it's rumored from a reliable "industry insider" only 3,000 pairs were available for the U.S. market.only SNKRS and select retailers with nike accounts got these.
I believe it but they must have been more available abroad. Didn’t hit on SNKRS but there seems to be bunch on StockX. Some European folks have said they were everywhere there.
@@ebelen1 yeah i don't know the number of pairs for the EU market but it seems they got a lot more pairs than the Americas.Didn’t hit on SNKRS also ended up getting my pair from EU for retail.

Only older 👟heads will understand the history of this shoe, its not a collab that's why there is no hype in this pair. I'm glad i got it for retail.🎉
i have to disagree with you sean, the leather quality on this release is top notch. not as plush as the 2016 pair, but this 2024 release is closer to the OG 2001 pair than the 2016 in terms of the shade of tan and pink outsoles instead of the salmon like 2016. this to me (along side the Ueno Park "Sakura" of 2005) is the holy grail of AF1.

Agree this is one of the best made Airforce 1 by far Linen is the best Airforce one besides the LV I think for GR release
I've never understood why people like these. I know I'm in the minority. And I love an AF1 too! But hey, different strokes etc.
These and any AF1’s are snoozers 💤 🛌
