  • This is a song I wrote and recorded called "Barnstaples Maples". I was definitely thinking of Primus when I wrote it.
    The lyrics:
    Barnstaples maples
    Turkey and pie
    I wouldn't put them together
    I cannot lie
    So when you've got
    Your teeth in a rush
    Eat McFinnigan's Pastries
    They don't cost a buck
I never wanted to be a turkey farmer
I wanted to be an astronaut
    Travelling from planet to planet
    In search of new life
    They go into the yard
They go out of the yard
    They go into the yard
They go out of the yard
    I'm going to set
    My turkeys free
    They'll dance the plains
    To Calgary
I never wanted to be a turkey farmer
I wanted to be a simple postman
Delivering mail at the start of the day
And collecting mail at the end

This is cool, but if you want a more Primus feel I would get rid of the rhythm guitar and add the occasional fuzz to the bass. Otherwise good job!
