I just made this recipe and it was delicious! I added the tamarind to to mix and a little bit of guava paste and Tajin, it made it so, so so delicious.

I just wanted to thank u for the basic recipe.... I was given a basket of plumbs and my kids won't eat them. So I cooked them along with the hibiscus flowers, tamarind, some cayenne pepper powder, red chili flakes and 3 chilies de arbol, and a whole fresh mango. (I didn't have apricots) plus the sugar, salt and lime.
Let me tell you..... oooooooh my God that is the best chamoy I've ever had. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I cant say it enough.

Awesome recipe!! Love your videos! I moved to the US 4 years ago from Europe. I had no idea that Mexican food is so colorful and I bet flavorful I have been traveling a lot and It sounds totally ignorant but Mexican food in EU is Enchiladas & Empanadas and that’s pretty much it. I can not even imagine how great this chamoy must taste like because I have never ever, tasted or smelled hibiscus and tamarind. You are totally opening up my eyes for a new & tasty world! Thanks girl for sharing all your recipes with us!!! Stay blessed!

My Dad has a Ninja blender (recommended by me) and that thing is amazing. It blends everything really well and doesn't burn out. I'd say it's the best option for a high quality home blender without having to spend an arm and a leg for a vitamix. Every other blender besides the Ninja we've ever bought ended up burnt out over heated or didn't blend well.
