Man you're just very proud of you're work rather have someone who takes there time it's called being professional and perfection admire people like you
Your welding videos are among the best on CZcams. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for taking the time to edit and explain what you do. Been a welder for almost 20 years now and im still learning now. Keep it up friend.
Thank you man appreciate the support
That torch needs work man lol you did a great job explaining everything 🤘🏼
These videos are amazing man I’d watch these for 3 hours. You’re work is amazing one thing I have come to realize is all welding processes have their place but synergic mig really is the future. I do 80% stick and 20% tig and I can’t imagine the time difference welding these pieces out in my method. Plenty of love from Jamaica 🇯🇲 and I’m looking forward to your next video !!
Big up bro, my heritage is from Jamaica ✊🏽 and 💯 it all has its place and if you care about speed mig is the only way
Has its place. Some industries wont have none of it though with solid wire. Synergic or pulse. Carbon or stainless.
Tig/Tag, stick, fluxcore and sub-arc only.
I weld in a vessel shop and I’m learning how to fit. Ur videos help me out. Cheers from Oklahoma City 🍻
Great video and narration. Always great to hear another fabricators process. 13 years under the hood for me and still learning everyday. Thanks for sharing. You earned that beer.
Cheers bud! Always new things to learn under the hood
@12:45, if there's too big a gap on one side, what you can do is get some tig wire or thin mig wire and instert a few small pieces all the way around the flange while you do your tacks. This way the flange is spaced evenly on all 360 degrees
Yeah ive tried that way b4 too, i find they shift all over the place, the tacks are basically the same thing
Love the videos, I have some ideas that will make your job faster, easier, and more accurate!
Learn “pipe fitting parallel line development”, you will never have to do any guess work again with any branches or offset connections. No books, no charts, no dependencies. You just measure the pipe in front of you and it’s always a perfect fit up. Also, if you cut it out with a torch you can bevel and cut all in one. This ends up being very efficient with your man hours.
Practice your torch skills whenever you can and keep it cleaner than anything else in the shop especially the tips. Nice torches with nice cuts = less grinding = less man hours = more money
Get yourself some actual trade specific tooling like a pipe centre finder and some proper tapered flange pins. Theres a couple good companies here in North America that make these they are called “flange wizard” “curvomark”. Not sure what you have across the pond.
Then last little tid bit I have for you is what I call a “pipe ruler”. Get a straight length of 3”x3”x1/8” (75x75x3) angle iron and slap it on the pipe. With both legs down and touching the pipe you can use the edge of the angle iron to draw a perfectly straight line down the pipe. This works very well with a centre finder punch mark which if your line rubs off you have a permanent mark at DTC to reference. Don’t scrape your precision level across the top of the pipe😢
Cool videos man, it’s interesting to see the differences in work flow across the pond. 😊
Really appreciate you taking the time to video your day to day challenges that come before you. Really enjoy them great work
Thank-you dude
everytime my girlfriend asked a question, you answered it before i could. she said your video is very informative, she approves
Comments like this make my day! Appreciate it bro
@@ARCONEWELDING all good bro, you keep up the good work
next time put a 3 legged jack stand under your flange to get your gap right all around. that way all you'll need to do is wedge it on the sides only.
Fantastic video really enjoyed it and Amazing skills you have so much work and maths involved it’s unreal full respect to you my friend 👍👍👍
Look into tapered flange alignment tool, two cones that you screw together in the bolt holes to put a level on. Anyone handy on a lathe can knock up a set of 4 in 20 minutes, these days you can get them on ebay.
I made some for a pipe welder 20 years ago and our paths crossed last year, while he was chatting with me he turned to one of his coworkers and said I made them for him, he was using them on the spool he was doing.
Absolutely Amazing Calvin. Great Craftsmanship
I had the pleasure recently of working with a company that use the metric system and it was a bit confusing for me because I was taught during weld school and in my own shop to use imperial system 😅
Hello young man, I would recommend you get a Curv-O-Mark wrap around. There are several sizes and it will give you the increments to mark on the pipe for you to "join the dots" for marking out fish mouthing pipes. Also, buy their pipe centre finder and marking out tools.
Not cheap but the quality is great.
Please change out your cutting nozzle on your torch. It's got either damaged sealing faces or dirt or the torch is damaged. You are running the risk of a flash back in the torch which could result in the torch burning out as fire gets trapped in it or worse still a fatal explosion if you don't use flash back arrestors to stop that flame reaching the bottles.
Also, a torch is not a hammer for knocking out or knocking off offcuts as you make them. This in turn risks damage to the nozzle and torch.
Curious as to why you use pulse Mig on the cap? I would only use pulse where l need to keep the heat down in the metal. A cap is the last as you know but l am willing to learn a new trick if there is one!
Wedges and Strong Hand switchable magnet's are use for holding stuff in position. The latter is available in different power ratings for weight of steel parts.
Bro you guys don't have a pipe center finder but good job you're a very skilled semi automatic welder and fabricator should have you're own shop seriously you have the skill bruh!!! And I use a calculator too all the time even for the simple things cheers lol
Ive got a knock off curve o mark but i only use it on stainless
Very good job that mate and a pleasure to watch you do it. Also, funny to hear you use the term 'handballing'. I thought that was a uniquely northern thing but apparently not.
Este es un carrete de acero con bridas clase 300 o clase 150 una pieza hidráulica para una bajada de un tanque elevado para alimentar una pequeña ciudad seguramente
Cool stuff man! You and you're videos are getting better all the time!
Great video dude ,reminds me of when I used to tig weld stainless Steel pipe for the food industry .12 to 8 inch pipe R@C on a 45
So nice welding
bon travail et bonne vidéo
THIS IS AN AWESOME WELDER
Just found your channel through the millions of USA channels, it good to here a London accent for a change,
You welding is superb,
I'm looking at buying an AC machine to start with.
Where did you learn all this stuff bro.
Ps subscribed and thumbs up.
Nice job bro
Look up book called pipe fitters field book metric edition. maybe it has what you are looking for.
That's a nice trick with the disc!
hey lad, nice work. greets from CPH . happy new year from 136 141 welder. _kempi fro are good.
Great vid!
Can't wait for the next one..
Hi brother just to help you can get a tool called a centrefinder for pipes it wil save you time and bobets for accurate fixture of your level hope it helps like your channel.
Ikut nyimak vidio nya kawan... Pekerjaan yang luar biasa dan penjelasa yang detail... Dari indonesia hadir kawan
You have to weld till flush then put cap
If that job goes south, It would make a nice barbecue grill.
How wonderful❤🎉
Hey Calvin, thank you for the new video! I wonder, how do you manage to weld around the sockets without stopping and reposition your hand? Whats the trick?
Are you talking about respirators in some other video? From how long you work in warehouse and do you have some health problems? I use only alf mask 3M 7000 with filter for particles but I am not sure t is right, or at least not enough... :/
Try white out marker for flame cutting it doesnt burn away so easy
Yeah i use that for my red pipe but we get so many different black painted pipes its hard to know which ones burn even the white marker away or not
Acho você o melhor de todos séria um prazer conhecê-lo
No entiendo mucho de lo que dice pero valla te admiro por la habilidad y seguridad que tienes al hacer este tipo de trabajo
I have never worked in a shop, all my experience comes from the field so its not bad mouth but why do you make all of those taks when you use more than 1 level?
They have alots of phone apps that show you how to layout a branch/saddle. There in mm and inches
Flat pattern works well for me
Love your videos man 👌✌️
Appreciate it bro
buy a pipefitters (light blue version) blue book and it'll give you all the measurements to make branches
You are short 11mm from the 2000mm that was given in the drawing
So depending on WPS do you ever bevel the holes that have branches or sockets/olets are coming out of? Or is CJP obtained from only beveling branch?
Very nice hello Calwin. Im from Uzbekistan. My namʼs Khurshid. I want to visited and worked in USA. But I havnʼt sertificate. Wat I do much?
Very good video. Please tighten your tip on your torch.
Good stuff!
Two in one cutting torch , hammer and cutter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why not weld the flange to the pipe , before putting the pipe into the big pipe , thats what i do
What do you guys use in you're shop is it just short circuit MIG MAG or dual shield
We only use mag welding, we root on short circuit and cap on pulse
Hello Calwin where are you from ?
Saludos
you tried out PMC pulse? its amazing and lets you do runs faster
No i actually haven't, it locked behind a update and pay wall on my machine, is it any good?
@@ARCONEWELDING it locked after you did a firmware update?? shouldn't do that.. yeah it takes some experimentation but when its tuned in you can do a pulse mig run quicker than normal without compromising penetration profiles. Have you used your 50hr trial license on the machine? if you activate it then it will allow PMC, LSC and CMT (if you have the cmt torch) to be used on the machine for 50 hours arc on time so you can see if you want to pay for it or not.
Good👍👍👌💓
Salut moi de maroc cherche une travai souder MiG mag mma
Mas bien es una T de acero con reduccion
Inch to mm just X inch by 25.4 = mm or mm ÷ 25 4 = inch
God the metric system is so much easier
How thick was your welding wire? :)
He runs .040 1mm
There is an app I can explain it to you
Kolay gelsin 👏
Try not to use your cutting torch as a beater and it would probably not leak… just a thought…
Good👍👍👍
Instead of dragging your level across the top of the pipe to find top center why not get a center finder 🤷♂️
Bon boulo😀😀
Trebienne jeux suit aprantie soudeure j'ai beusouin conselle de se metielle
Using Oxy burner tip or welder tip as a hammer looks like a bad habit.
25 feet of welding not 25 meters
But great work overall... 1000 ways to skin a cat... What matters is that the cat is skinned on time, every time... Thanks for the vid
100% agreed bro, we all have our own was but aslong as it get done 👌🏽
J
Your stick out if WAY TO LONG!!!!! looked like a 2 inch stick out!!! Only should be 3/4 on inch my man......
Looks can be deceiving it wasn't that long and still came out fine
I see development skills are being lost 😞
Hi brother you are good smat professional welder.good to learning from you.. teanks.m
Fantastic video really enjoyed it and Amazing skills you have so much work and maths involved it’s unreal full respect to you my friend 👍👍👍
