You would've seen a lot of girls turned their backs on Binibining Pilipinas and join the Philippines' other rival pageants like Miss Earth Philippines. Thank goodness for the PH Department of Foreign Affairs for bringing up the jus sangris principle that forced BPCI to reinstate Venus as Miss Universe Philippines 2010.
If the qualification says she"must be a Philippine citizen" she is! The Phil Constitution, as I remember, only states that if one of your parents is Filipino, then you are a Philippine citizen. She says she was upfront and truthful about this situation in the beginning, I think she deserves the crown. I hope the court will find it favorable with her case and have BPCI award her some money for her pain and suffering, when they should be investigating this issue at the very beginning of the event
Venus has that unique beuty that is needed in order to compete in the international compition. Nicolette face has that common face that is not reaLLY UNIQUE
I hope she wins her title back. It is not her fault that she was born out of wedlock. That was kind of a negative situation then... (Being born out of wedlock) in Filipino standards, but now it's time to turn these experiences into a positive one, Give her back the crown! BPCI should pride itself by turning this issue into a positive one... give her the crown and help her fix her legalities/paperwork once and for all.

I am just so PUZZLED, SO SO PUZZLED as to the REAL REPRESENTATIVE of the PHILIPPINES to the MISS UNIVERSE 2010 !!!! Because last Monday , that was May 3, 2010, I have seen in the News broadcasted by GMA 7, that VENUS RAJ and NICOLETTE HENSON are both training for the forthcoming MISS UNIVERSE 2010 ! and there are comments here on some of VENUS' CZcamss that NICOLETTE HENSON is the Final REPRESENTATIVE of the PHILIPPINES to the MISS UNIVERSE. Can SOMEBODY Clear this ISSUE please.
to really achieve a dream is really making things right legally, especially that there are sponsors behind you; because, at the end of the day, it will only haunt you as it's been. Just be gracious...stop the rant and immediately start your good credibility quest, then show 'em! All that's well that ends well.
