    I first saw them back in 1970 when this was what they were playing. It totally changed my views about music. The only other major change was discovering Magma in 1975.

      I also listened to this album about the time of release- I never get tired - You mentioned “MAGMA” a great find for certain moods. Great Drum, long compositions and very excellent. I don’t see Magma brought up here very much

    Fan-/Funfact: "this" kind of lizzards really exists with only one pair of legs in the front. they are specified as "Mole-Lizzards" (Bipes biporus, Bipes canaliculatus, Bipes tridactylus), the only species, and are located in Mexico. And B. biporus is called the one with five fingers.The heads more to the classification of legless lizzards Pygopodidae; they are reptiles, not like the similar livingand also legless amphibes Gymnophiona.

    There was a time in my life 25 years ago where I and a buddy smoked hashish on a daily basis and listened a lot to "Electric Tepee" while playing "Bomberman" on a Super Nintendo.

    I'm taken back to the Rainbow Theatre in Edmonton (London, UK) when I saw them around 1971/2. I went to see them at the Northern Kin festival last year but pulled off before they performed as the conditions were so bad. Shame. Great music.

    took the album back after 3 days. hawkwind ended up being the number 2 band on my acid journeys of my youth... along with black sabbath without allthat lucifer crap. my favorite album is hall of the mountain grill. take care

    shortly after hearing "space ritual" in early 1977, i got this classic, and at 13 yrs old it took me into the depths of the planet of acid lizards. so original (other than what the floyd were doing) for it's time.

    The debut album by Hawkwind was actually produced by Dick Taylor, who was also the lead singer in The Pretty Things.

      Lead singer of the Pretty Things was Phil May, Dick Taylor basically started the Pretties with Phil, Dick was lead guitarist in the early days.

    In 1988 Hawkwind electrocuted a coffee bar i was in, along with my wife and the baristas and several other guests at the tree fair, the rain had been incessant and had finally tracked up the power cables to their amps and then back down through the coffee tent where we all got a healthy jolt and a healthy quiver for a few minutes. Ha Ha.

    Listened to this whilst on first acid trip camping in my local wood. My dad played it a lot when I was a little kid, I loved but it became something else on acid in a wood at night when you're not sure what the fuck is going on. Epic.
