ken has a great set up after stmp-sthp tc into run tatsu that i never see anyone use. instead of whiff jab into run overhead, you can whiff heavy jinrai kick into light followup. itll hit meaty and you can get a stmp after
how do you get so many ranked matches? I find a single match in like 7 minutes and cant rank up because of this, I heard that changing some router settings could help but have no idea how to do it
i think if u learn his optimals this could be ur best character. They arent that diffferent from the routes u already do but they do like 200+ more damage

I’m almost 40 years old and this is my first street fighter, I play NRS games. If I can do them, you can too. THAT BEING SAID - I feel like ken is up there execution wise. He is “easy” to play as a character archetype but the run cancels and all of the routes he has is a lot. I tried Luke for a couple hours yesterday just to see what the other shoto are like and he’s so much easier to play than ken for me. Even with perfect knuckle the execution is absurdly easy for me compared to ken. So yes you can do it, 100%. You can get the full ken burn out run cancel combos down. I can do them without thinking about it and again I’m new and old. It just takes time. But it may require more time in the lab and less playing the game so depending on your situation, consider that.
Guilty gear strive was my first fighting game and I ended up maining Potemkin because my hands couldn't do combos very well, I didn't want to spend time in the training room, and I could at least understand how pressure and oki worked. Now playing this game, I picked up Guile and Blanka because they don't need big combos either. But I'm trying to learn Ken because my execution really is starting to hold me back (plus he has the best theme)
I am increasingly amazed at the difference in play between America and Europe. in Europe the players are much stronger and it's not as easy as it seems, it's a whole different level, there are diamond players who do absurd things, parry everywhere, and manage to intercept any DI. not to mention that as soon as you make a mistake you're immediately dead.
so idk if you ever played or even against Manon but the medals don't boost regular grabs. There's no cutscene, it should very clear what kind of grab it is.
@@Armitage01101 That’s the strike throw or whatever it is called (qcf punch). It gets buffed by medals but doesn’t do as much dmg as the command throw (half circle backwards punch)
Ryu already has a lot of damage output. Dude can already hit you like 3 times with linked DR and chop away at your life bar. He’s just not as “flashy” with his combos but he can be absolutely devastating. Only thing they could do to him is improve his charge up or allow him to stack them

Everytime i use Ken (which is rare now) i get completely owned lol Ordered a hitbox due to playing on keys is HARD with 2 busted hands and looking at some coaching so maybe one day ill find some success with him.. time will tell, great video though, ill be studying this when i got some free time👍
If you think Ken is the best Nephew, Then play/main him. If your competing then take every advantage you can get to win.. and then when/if you lose, You'll know that it was on you and not some dumb factor or variable, cause if you lose as Juri, don't be hating on someone else or character when you had the opportunity to pick and play them too.

I got Guile, Luke, Ken, Deejay. If those 4 characters are all difficult for juri to deal with and they are pretty much undisputed top 4 in any order. How is juri S tier when she struggles with all of the other S tier matchups. If juri had a better way to deal with fireball or if her own fireball had less recovery she would def be top 1 but as it stands now all 4 of those top tier guys are really tough matchups which I feel like should affect where she stands
I was not expecting that damage from that air combo.
i hope they wont do too much to ken, like daigo said, he's the coolest version of all of his version that we have seen.
The balance of the game is so good, for anyone except like the bottom 3 I think number tweaks would be enough to close whatever gaps may be arising.
Ken (like Juri and Luke) need to slightly toned downed. They don't need to be gutted, but they also shouldn't be so good at EVERYTHING.
@@Johngreggor99I think the game I balanced around three tier. The top 5 or so characters are just BETTER than the rest of the cast.
They should buff the characters that aren’t as good rather than nerfing characters that are currently top tier.
