I really like the sound of the sm7b but I like how the wave 3 sound so natural
please, use chapters to make it easier for us to find what we're looking for
The Elgate Wave 3 picks up a lot of side noise (room echo...), as it isn't really directional. So the room really needs to be properly deadened. This can also be minimized by bringing it close to the mouth and reducing the gain (as you recommended).
However for all those people out there who don't want the microphone to be visible in video recordings DON'T go for podcast microphones AT ALL! Any affordable directional video micro (cardioid or hyper cardioid pattern) >100$ will do better at a distance of 1 foot or more!
There is option noise remove so wave 3 is much better ❤
With a VTS you resolve the problem of room echo.
Well with Stream Deck + what are your thoughts controlling the wave 3 mic and the software?
With the Elgato microphone you could hear the background noise but you have to be very meticulous for that, plus if it is to record audio for a video is a matter of removing noise in post-production, the truth I do not hear that there is an abysmal difference between elgato and Shure...
The Wave 1/3 also comes with a built-in pop filter inside.
Yes but it’s not a strong one which is why they have a separate one if you want more

the wave served me well but it has started to give out and start peaking no matter how i set up it up just age i guess but when it was new it was really good.

The sm7b sounds softer but the wave 3 sounds more natural. Can you make the wave3 softer as I have a deep voice

The shure sm7b is my dream mic. I just think it's a beautiful looking mic and beautiful sounding. I am currently using the AT2020 xlr .. it's a great mic as well. I have it connected to my Focusrite solo interface.
My next purchases for my Stream are the sm7b and the go xlr mini

@@thanialthani7875 close to isn't it lol But i have thought about the pod mic as a back up maybe? I've seen some really good reviews so I'm sure it's very good. But the pod mic isn't an eye catcher to me. I appreciate the beauty of the sm7b, as well as its awesome sound.

Bruh the sm7b has horrible frequency response especially in the highs if you're looking for a better microphone check none other than the Rode NT1 🤣😭

If it is 3.5mm audio Jack then yes but if you have other headphones it will still work but there may be a slight delay if you want to monitor your voice. My full tutorial on the wave link software will show you that.
@@MurrayFrost i think the OP was talking about how sensitive the mic is if it can pickup the sound from an open headphones. cause open back headphone leaks the sound since it is 'open' by designed
@@cult2 Condenser mics will pick up the noise, which the Elgato is. You’ll need a dynamic mic like the SM7B or MV7 if your headphones leak
You look a bit pale. If you are adjusting vibrancy or saturation down, you need to chill a bit

the problem whit the shure , all the you tuber have the same voice tone , whit the gato wive you personality , cause y have a sofware for tunnig mi voice and be unic and diferent voice , i think is important not saund like all .-

I kind of got what you are saying. A shure sm7b is not for everyone. I try not to make general statements where everyone should do this or that. I try being all the information to the table and let the viewer decide for them selves based on their situation
