Beautiful 👌 Nicely done and practical 👏
Safe travels and see you on the next one 😎 Greetings and cheers Mate from south africa 🍻 🇿🇦
What a great touring rig - how good are the Patrols , love em . Had our GQ from new ( single cab ute ) and only just completed a trip from NSW to Broome and back in August …. Use it every day for work for past 27 years 🤙🏽🤙🏽 . What do you weigh when you are in full touring mode … Such a shame there is no available GVM upgrade for these work horses . Love the video and well done , now subscribed 🤙🏽🤙🏽
thats such an awesome rundown. I love your hat holder ++
Haha thanks
Great setup, guys
Thanks 😊
Thanks for the detailed review. Just a question regarding the tent.
When you pack it down in the rain, does any of the bedding get wet?
Would love to know some first hand experience with this.
Cheers
We haven’t actually had it in much rain, seems to be fine with heavy dew. We did have a storm one night with very heavy rain and after we packed it away I do remember the bed feeling damp. When it did rain (unless it was very heavy) we always felt dry inside
Great vid how does the awning go in light winds and do you peg it down in light winds too medium winds ?
Awning is great, we always peg it down in case a big gust of wind comes through (WA & SA are notorious for random gusts) but super easy set up and pack away
Nice!!! What solar panel are your running?
Just an itechworld 200w solar blanket. Goes pretty good 👍
Hey mate, very trick patrol, a couple of questions, any over heating issues? Also, other than the marks booster, are you running anything else brake wise? I think I saw you guys camping a while back at bruntons bridge in vic, near Walhalla, great setup 😊
Usually only gets hot when cruising in real soft sand for a while, apart from that sits around 80-90 degrees. Was running twin piston efi callipers but pistons kept seizing so just bought new single piston callipers all round and stainless braided brake lines and it works mint. Oh wow yeah that definitely would have been us
Cheers mate
Hi guys, just curious, has the tripping stopped short term, as I'm missing your content, loved your short vlogs.
Miss you pair. ♥️
Hi Ian
Yes! Travel has stopped for now - we are yet to get some more short vlogs out to finish off this trip but we have had a very busy few months since being at home! Thanks for always watching - hopefully won’t be long before new vlogs and adventures!
@@adventureallways Thanks for response, missing you kids.
I was to cross the Simpson but remnants of cyclone Ilsa had other plans, she poured down on my parade as we approached from the west, locking down the Simpson, bugga. We then ventured down filling in time on the York Peninsula (hmm, not convinced that was time well spent) so we headed over to the Eyre Peninsula which is so much better, had a fun few days there but alas I had some health issues, (TIA, mini strokes) resulting in a week spent in hospital at Whyalla.
That brought any hope of going into the Simpson undone, my son flew in to collect the Troll and drive us home. Be a short while recuperating.
May have to take a leaf out of your book and approach the Simpson in November, worked for you pair.
Curious, did the gearbox hold together long enough to get you home?
So glad to hear you're fine, Ian.
What colour blue is that?
Can’t remember sorry, it’s an old ford blue if that helps.
