I really like this video. This was a skit with Linux done right. It was funny to see Alex struggle, and the jokes were funny. You also did show Linux how it actually is. A great OS, will a bit of a learning curve. You didn't show it as a crappy OS and only mention old Ubuntu. This was a very cool video.

Thanks. I use Linux Mint Mate every day and I like it because it feels like a computer and not like a phone like modern MacOS and Windows do.

@@theworldofspeechsynthesize7548Linux mint is really nice. I used this OS for a while, and quite liked it. I am glad you are able to find the OS that works for you. Other operating systems like Mac OS and Windows are a privacy and resource mess. I dual boot Windows 11 (For school) and Arch Linux (For everything else.)
Which tts voice do you use on Linux mint?
Also, did you know that Fedora is a type of hat?

You should do a video where Alex is introduced to the new game engine NVGT! lol

Great video. I have macOS 10.6 snow leopard installed on one of my computers. I should consider installing Linux on one of them.

Thanks. MacOS 10.5 Leopard should work on the computer on which I currently run MacOS 10.6. I will install 10.5 one day to see the differences. I have never tried Linux on a Mac, but I know it works. Do you talk about a Macbook or a desktop computer? I think ORCA, the screen reader for Linux, is hard to use without a numeric keypad.

I would like to try to install macOS 10.5 on my Mac one day as well but finding the installer, especially for macOS, is a little difficult. I would also like to try to install Linux on one of my PCs as well.

@@cameronknotts2367 Yes, I know. I have three iso files with MacOS 10.5, and I know that one of them doesn't work. I may burn it to a DVD, but it isn't bootable. I will try the other two files when I find some time.

I would also like to try to get macOS 10.4 in a virtual machine on my PC but I can’t get it to work in VMware or virtual box. I almost got it working in VMware except for the fact that there was no sound so I couldn’t do anything with it. I was able to get it to work on Another virtualization software called UTM on my Mac, however, the sound in that macOS tiger virtual machine is very laggy.

@@cameronknotts2367 But you still got it to work on VMware? I thought it was totally impossible. Well, I have an iBook g3 with MacOS 10.4.11 and it is a very cool version to mess around with. It feels quite different from the newer version and Voice Over has other sound effects. Unfortunately, you can't use text edit to convert text to audio file in MacOS Tiger, which I see as a problem. When I made videos with the macintalk from 10.4, I connected a recording device via a cable to the iBook and recorded it that way. However, if you would like to use MacOS 10.4, I think there is no other way than getting a physical Mac that could run it.

You are right! Linux is so confusing! I mean, I don’t know what version or distro I want to install and try, even if I had an Asus laptop that was running Ubuntu 16.04 but I reinstalled windows 7 starter, that was it’s original system. And guess wat, that computer just crashed 2 days ago and doesn’t boot any more! I was even finishing to do one of my tts projects, like you, but I don’t post them on CZcams because I don’t know how to convert them to video, so I have to do it again, why!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, that's annoying! I wonder what crashed in your computer. Is it the harddrive or can't you even boot into bios? I am learning Linux and it actually becomes less and less confusing, but yes, there are a lot of distros and desktops, but not all of them are accessible with the screen reader.

The closest thing to MacSpeak that Linux has is espeak-ng and MBROLA.
