The Niqab has kept me in check as a revert. There are things that i was finding (hard to stop/give up) when i converted to Islam such as (dancing). I started wearing hijab right away, but i wasn't wearing loose clothings. There is no African party without music, and even though i was wearing my hijab, i always caught myself dancing and i would feel so guilty. Always made dua for Allah to help me be more modest, then 2020 happened. Instead of wearing mask, I started wearing Niqab and ive never looked back. The niqab has made me become more modest in my dress code and in keeping my behaviors in checks Alhamdullilah. So definitely the Niqab has played a major role in bringing me closer to Allah.

I remember a Hadith I read before that after people of knowledge gave their judgment on a matter yet both disagree then Allah would reward the one who got it wrong but the one who got it correct will get double the reward.
This is on the prerequisite that both used correct methodology from Quran and Sunnah.
One who makes up an opinion with no knowledge and with no evidence basically making things up would be a sinner.
The two opinions of the niqab are two valid opinion so you can follow either one you deem correct after knowing the evidences of the two groups but certainly one of them is the correct one.

It is a big difference wearing niqab that is tied close to the face and wearing a loose fabric over the face to cover it. It would be strange for a women who cover her face to suddenly uncover it during ihram. So in ihram you should not wear anyting that is tide around the face or body, rather it should be a loose fabric in this case for the face to be covered. This is how I have understood it to be correct.

Good debate. i came to conclusion that covering face is mandatory.
Zakir naik did not prove that covering face was a custom of that era.... All scholars say that covering face started after islamic ayat of surah e ahzab. Before islam no woman used to cover face. it means when prophet (s.a.w.w) asked not to cover face during hajj , is an evidence that muslim women had started covering face before hajj. Secondly zakir naik also did not consider the hadith of hazrat aayesha (r.a) as stated that she kept open face when went to hajj and covered her face when other men passed them.

Of course plus we women have enough stress etc….and who are to judge other just because a women’s face is completely covered including wering all black gloves doesn’t make a woman righteous and closer to Allah ultimately it’s called going to the extreme which Quran says that we Muslim should be well balanced but never go to the extreme form of modesty to suffocate or mentally braishwash and indoctrinate ladies either through husbands, family members or their societies in order to control our mind which some women easily believe and that’s why certain Muslim women feel that in order to get closer to Allah I must cover completely face hands and feet and were all black because from the beginning they were already mentally indoctrinated into thinking they will enter Paradise. What Muslim women need to do is educate herself Read Quran and think smart because Allah has given us a powerful brain not be brainwashed instead think and ponder and question everything and seek knowledge about everything not just believe what every scholar says or husband’s who lack knowledge about islam.wake up ladies read Quran and don’t go to the extreme

Though I agree with the View of Dr Zakir Naik about Niqab but just to remind you still it's a matter of dispute. And we would be judged on the Day of Qiyamah not by these fiqh problems of dispute surely there would be ease there in accountability but still the most authentic opinion is of Covering the face because Qur'an itself says in the verse to cover the face but conditions aren't mentioned of it to be if abroad that's Only the case. Moreover, Dr Zakir Naik used more Logic in his reply and Sheik Salah used Sahih Hadith, still Therefore Covering the face is more authentic and the Hadith of Hazrat Ayesha (May Allah SWT be pleased with her) endorses it to be fard. Yeah but somehow in some cases the logic beats it but in some it does not. For people who prefer more Logic can opt the Dr Zakir Naik's opinion but again it's a dispute amongst the scholars not that if someone feels stressed or suffocated. Many people say offering Salah is difficult and makes them tired so should it be agreed? Similarly, covering the face if increases the stress or suffocates someone use a better cloth material. That's not an excuse to not cover the face for the one following the opinion of covering their faces. Although I agree with Dr Zakir Naik the most because I'm not much learned or specialized in Hadith literature so I preferred the logic ( to be natural). May Allah SWT bless yah ❣️ and Allah SWT knows the best.

Assalamualaikum warakmatuliah wabarakatu. I am 18 years old and am from Sierra Leone,West Africa. I Started wearing niqab at the beginning of Ramadan 2023. My Family wear against it so I didn't wear it frequently but after I ask Allah for guidance,my heart was made up to wear the niqab so I continue with it. Even after Ramadan i continue to wear it . I told my Families that it was my choice so they stop interfering even so,they say wearing a niqab is only for married women and called those who wear niqab old. People that know me in my community,my business place all says that i should remove the niqab sometimes they call me names like the niqab is like a beard hanging on my face,Female Nanja and other sort of unsuitable names. Due to their talkings and all that I sometimes think to remove the niqab and continue wearing only hijab but something in me stops me from doing that. They says that with me wearing the niqab that I had presented my self as a married woman, good men will be afraid to talk to me, that no man will see my face to know me in order to introduce marriage, that the fullahs unmarried women only wear the niqab because there have been an arranged marriage for them. When they ask me why do you wear the niqab i never tell them my reasons but in my heart I know that wearing this niqab makes me more protected and safer than while I was wearing the hijab, brings me more closer to Allah and other reasons. Is niqab only for married women?

So as Hajj itself is a combination of acts of prayer, I wouldn't think covering face is required based on my statement. But As a man, I can say it's an obvious if a woman with a beautiful face doesn't cover her face, she will end up tempting a lot of man. May Allah forgive me and all of us as I am sorry to say when a man sees a beautiful woman, even if he doesn't get tempted at least the thought of her being beautiful will come to his mind. Women in Islam should feel comfortable if they want cover their face without being forced and we shouldn’t judge period!! Its enough that we were modest clothes and cover our face. We shouldn’t push muslim women away from our deen by enforcing and making it mandatory. Aside from this it’s extremely sad the scholars don’t repeatedly lecture to us about how the prophet of Islam really treated his wife once he got married so that young Muslim men who are seeking marriage so that they will be educated and well informed on the psychology of women and why Allah created them to think differently in a certain way.Women are not appreciated and men don’t know express even don’t know how to express kindness, respect, love and compassion and affection etc…

I did not agree at all with the any of logics of Dr. Zakir particularly the one he quoted about one of the research that men look at the body of women at first glance (not face). The reason is this research may have been conducted in western society (most probably) where everyone's faces are uncovered so for men in western society their priority goes to other parts of the body (fantasy from haram videos) given that they have looked many faces daily wise. Modesty is not only covering the body (face+head+other parts) but also in talking, walking, and all body gestures.

dont forget men need to lower their gaze. well most men dont want to lower their gaze but only force women to wear niqab. I wonder how many men who say niqab is fard really lower their gaze. Remember Allah knows what's in your heart.
To me niqab is a khilaf or difference of opinion amongst scholars, women can choose which they feel closer to the Quran and Sunnah. Of course covering of the whole body (apart from hand and face) is fard, no doubt about that, but face covering is khilaf.
