HI ANGELS! Today I am getting rid of all my clothes LITERALLY and completely starting over. Usually I'm shopping, but today I'm selling in a Marie Kondo style closet clean out! My version of spring cleaning in the summer because it's time to be a hot girl again...in the spiritual and deeper meaning version of that sentiment too :)

Yep. once you get near too or around 30, the I don't care anymore wall kicks in . Mine hit around 27/28 & I was selling a lot of my stuff on depop. I cleared out most of my bags & some clothes, make-up, just everything got a sort through. You reach at point in life where the none of this matters & I don't go anywhere these days. Life gets tiring & after a while, you feel like everything owns you & not you own it. 😞

I used to watch your videos all the time, but since 1-2 years I stopped because of all the hauls. It was getting to be too much for me to the point it started affecting my self esteem and the feeling that I needed to constantly shop as well, so I stopped. But today this video showed up in my recommendations, I felt so healed in a way? I don’t know. I love that you’re becoming mindful about the things you own ❤

I woke up last week and completely changed my mindset about everything! Deessing chic and classy because I am going to start dressing to feel like the millionaire I am meant to be and I am going to be. But to start, I need to change my persona entirely, my thoughts, my mindset, the people I talk to, the things I watch, the things I eat, and the clothing I wear! This was perfect !! You pin pointed every single thing I wrote in my mood board (which is the first time I even created one). 🥴 this is a sign!!

It’s called growing up and becoming your true self and owning who you truly are. I’m 44 this year and it’s really only been in the last 5/10 years, that I really now know me.

I totally resonate with this. I got very sick and had to learn to walk again. Now, because of the nerve damage in my feet - I cannot wear my stunning high heels anymore and this really threw me for a loop because I used to craft my outfits around the shoes which I wanted to wear that day. So, I have had to learn about flatter shoes and how to make an outfit more personal and interesting with accessories and such. It is still a struggle some days, but it is becoming a little simpler over time.
I actually love cleaning out my closet and buying clothes that I like wouldn't usually see my self wearing, because when I do wear it I feel new and better but when ever I do, I clean out my closet and donate a lot of the clothes I don't wear. And ive been meaning to deep clean my closet for a while

This video is exactly what I needed. I’ve been feeling the exactly same way, after getting long covid and putting on unwanted weight I put ‘myself’ on the back burner because it was too painful to go through things that used to bring me joy, my clothes, that sadly no longer fit me.
But this video and the honesty of it really gave my the comforting push I needed to finally get myself together for the life I want.

Through a major life change where I’m moving from the city back to our small town and been thinking of redoing my whole wardrobe. I’ve been inspired this video and also glad you’re still making content like this. Why I loved you in the first place. I’ve stopped watching, but I know your words and advice about envisioning have stuck with me. Cheers to your future plans in life 🥂 you deserve it all girl
i feel like a LOT of influencers and celebrities get to the same point amber was at but would probably have just thrown them away or gave them all to a charity shop where they'll be either bought to upsale or lost in the sauce. the fact amber took the time to try on, wash, photo, make a listing, sell, post every single item (pretty much) is amazing to see
Or.. If it doesn't sell in the charity shops, gets bundled into huge bales, sold and exported to third nations like Nigeria and Ghana where they try to sell it on second-hand clothing markets. All the cheapy fast fashion that seems to be pushed nowadays, Shein, and Fashion Nova, to name a couple, are seen as poor quality (which is true) by even the poorest of folk, dismissed and end up (usually by illegal dumping) polluting their waterways. I think I read once that nowadays 40% of a bale of clothes might not sell in these countries.

We've hit the halfway point in 2024 and Amber wants to bring in a new version of who she wants to be. Which just goes to show that new years isn't the only time of the year to become the version of you that you want to be, you can become "Her/Him/Them" at the time the best suits you !!!
Thanks for being so honest and transparent. I really appreciate this video and it came at the perfect time for me. I just turned 32 at the end of May. I have found that I have lost myself while dealing with life and health problems. I am on the journey to get back to the me that would just go random places by myself instead of just being a homebody. I am going to not only find the old me but improve upon her. I’ve been feeling depressed & this literally inspired me to clean out my room and closet with a Swiftie playlist.
I always think about cleaning out my closet and taking all the clothes I no longer want and during it I end up thinking "oh, but what if I want to wear these clothes later?" Even though I know I'm not gonna use them because they're not my style lol, seeing Amber do this big clean out inspired me too.

This is awesome. I literally just deep-cleaned a bathroom Friday and cleared EVERYTHING out, only replacing the items that will be right for that space. Removing the visual "noise" helps the energy flow so much better. This is essentialism at its best and I'm gonna get the whole house like this.

I've been doing the same thing as of late, I used to love fashion and "blogging" and reading and after a big mental breakdown I just couldn't bring myself to love any of it anymore! But this year (after 7 years) I've finally been able to enjoy them again, I've been able to actually style outfits and read every night and even get back into Sewing, and it's been such an amazing feeling ❤

Honestly I'm taking this as a sign to go thru my clothes. Just had another birthday& was hesitant as I'm losing weight but realistically most of what I have I won't wear even if it fits
The weight loss wardrobe is tough. Your clothes become baggier and sometimes more comfortable 😂 but also it symbolises a part of you that might not exist anymore . My weight loss is about healing from grief and a tough 6 years and I’ve been thinking of getting rid of clothes from the last six years because they just remind me of a tough season but I’m no longer that person.
