English Pronunciation | The Letter N | /n/ vs /ŋ/ + TONGUE TWISTERS

  • 👉 In this English Pronunciation lesson I will teach you the two different ways to pronounce the Letter N in English (/n/ and /ŋ/), and show you how to master the pronunciation of the N when it is at the beginning, in the middle, and, at the end of words. We will also practice the letter N with some really fun Tongue Twisters which will help you to speak English quickly and easily!
    👉 After that we will learn about the SILENT N in English, which is common when the letter N comes after an 'm'... (e.g Autumn)
    👉 At the end we will look at some SUPER FUN 'N' Tongue Twisters.
    👉 The Letter N can sometimes be confused for the letter L by some learners of English because of the similar mouth positions, so make sure you practice all the words in this lesson and my lesson on the letter L (here: • English Pronunciation ... ) until you can clearly pronounce both sounds.
    👉 This lesson has CHAPTERS so you can SKIP to the part you need to learn most.
    🤩 I hope you find this lesson helpful! Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions!

    Great lesson! I have a question. Can we say, the letter "g" is silent in words such as song, King, ring etc. (As it isn't pronounced)

    • @EasyENGLISHwithJames
      @EasyENGLISHwithJames  Před 2 lety +3

      Technically I believe it is silent yes. BUT we have to be careful because it depends on what word comes AFTER these words. For example. In 'sing' the 'g' is silent. BUT, in 'sing about' the g is actually pronounced because of something called 'connected speech' in English. (sounds more like sin-gabout).
      Hope that helps! Have a great day!

    Bonjour, si je comprends bien la prononciation du N dans sa 2e version, (comme dans sing), est-ce qu’on peut dire que lorsque dans le mot, le N est suivi du G, dans la transcription phonique (le ng fait partie de la 2e version de la prononciation du N), désolée je n’ai pas la police qui me permet de taper la transcription phonétique du N, par contre quand le n est suivi de la lettre K, le k demeure dans la transcription phonétique?? C’est pas évident pour moi, avez-vous un truc pour que je sache quand la lettre qui suit le N, fait partie de la transcription phonétique ou pas? Merci beaucoup!

      czcams.com/video/DIWkl9HcGy4/video.html
      Then the long vowel sounds..
      czcams.com/video/RmxByBumXxg/video.html
      After that, try the diphthong vowel sounds..
      czcams.com/video/lI3xTvwYsa8/video.html
      then after that you should begin with my video about the letter A and work your way through the alphabet..
