- Here's what happens if you let the timer run out in Chapter 2 of Paper Mario: TTYD.
For some reason Mario didn't fall asleep in the room where the Crystal Star was found, but he DID fall asleep in the item shop.
If the timer runs out while a shop menu is open it just closes when the timer hits 0. - Hry
I find it hilarious how Crump just lets it count down to zero
Especially since he wouldn't be able to escape before it explodes.
the fact that he also has a nice and long conversation knowing damn well he has like 30 seconds left is also funny

I always wondered what would happen if you let it count down while talking to crump but never wanted to wait that long.
This can also happen even back in the original when you let the timer run before the message where Crump switches the bomb off. So he really blew himself up along everyone else.

They should have gone “GAME OVER” without Mario on the floor. Make it similar to Resident Evil.

Then Grodus casually walks over the ashes of the tree and pries the Crystal Stars off what remains of their corpses. Then I guess he and/or the Shadow Sirens go to beat the snot out of Grubba, Doopliss, Cortez, and Pennington.
To be fair, Bowser is also looking for the Crystal Shards. There's a non-zero chance he would get at least one before the others.

Pennington and Doopliss would definitely be fucked.
Good luck with Grubba, though, ‘cause Glitville is filled with fighters and security guards, and I doubt they’re giving the star up without a fight. Grubba would probably have the fighters and security guards fight the X-Nauts since they’re under his contract, and Grubba would probably fight the X-Nauts, too.
Cortez and the ghosts would probably pick off the X-Nauts at sea one-by-one.
Grubba wouldn't be that strong compared to Grodus; I mean, the Chapter 3 boss vs. a Chapter 8 boss, it's no contest. We don't know how strong the security guards are, at least.
@@gamewizard2008 He actually is. Depending on a boss’s HP, attack, and defense, old chapter bosses can keep up with the meta depending on the situations.
Macho Grubba is actually pretty strong, remember that he can always increase his attack or defense, and he can also increase his evasion. Grubba being able to beat the shit out of Grodus is possible.
Goombella (the most trusted source in TTYD) notes that every Glitz Pit security guard is ripped and pretty strong. Remember that their jobs also involve keeping fighters from potentially assaulting each other outside the ring, so they should be strong enough to take on or break up a fight between two competitors. Also, when Mario hits them with a hammer in the remake, they don’t heavily react to it like everyone else does, instead they hardly flinch. So they are definitely tough.
And then you have the competing fighters in the Glitz Pit, all of them banded together would be a problem for the X-Nauts.
I was also wrong about Doopliss, he would actually be a problem for the X-Nauts. I completely forgot that he can turn anyone into a pig, not just the Twilight natives. Doopliss could just turn the X-Nauts into pigs, lol.
*Timer reaches zero and the bomb is exploing*

Now what happens if you save and then load your save when the timer is about to run out? Does the timer continue where it left on? If so I can see that as a possible softlock. If save and load when you have something about couple seconds left. Then there will be no time to escape so u are stuck?
The timer resets, or at least gives you extra time so you'll have no trouble escaping.
It's the funniest if you can make to go off right as he's about to press the button
