Superb vehicles! I have a 2016 5.0sc with 170 000km and its an absolute dream to have. I have had to replace a few things -front control arms, rear wheel bearings and its not the most economical to run, but i dont care. The way it makes me feel when i drive it is worth every penny
Always love an honest review with solid pointers! Thanks.
Thanks!
I’m still running around with my 2008 TDV8 sport having owned for 10 years and I have to say I do like the look of this new sport & I am tempted to buy especially now that prices have plummeted recently but having owned my current L320 for such a long time I just can’t bring myself to part with it. Great video thanks for sharing your experience with the L494
I’m so excited tomorrow I might get my Range Rover sport 😍
The best car in the world
Very good video, I'm getting a 2012 autobiography sport. 230k millage done and very well maintained by the owner. Driven for work purpose distance. Any afvice if I should get it. If i did how many miles it still can go for roughly if maintained as needed?, thanks 🙏🏼
That is a lovely car for the money. People are scared of range rovers especially high mileage ones but it looks like you’ve done great with yours. I nearly bought one but ended up with a volvo xc60 instead. The next car might just be one though! See how fuel prices go 😂
Might go that route too! May be a weird question to ask.... how is the volvo xc60 working out for you?
Here is the problem. It could have a full service history and been babied with more frequent services, then simply snap a timing chain on you when you go to start it in the morning - just like the one on Powerfuluk YT channel. 12 grand later for a refurb engine.
What about the risk of crank failure and the injection pump timing belts ?
Looking at buying 2014 V8 SC petrol RRS with 98k miles. Full Land Rover Service but a few people warned me off. Any thoughts? Thankyou
Our RR Sport from 2015 has 165000 KM and is still top!!
I did over 700 miles this weekend, loved driving it for every second!
Of the 8 people I know including myself that have or have had the 3litre Diesel engine in Range Rover or disco 4 , only one has the original engine !!! Camshafts!!! One as low as 28,000 miles !!
❤
What do you think the lifetime is on this? 200k? 250k? I'm just curious how many years I'd get from it
It’s hard to say an exact time frame/mileage as it all comes down to how it’s driven and maintained. I know that this is one of the higher mileage examples out there but it drives flawlessly and it’s maintained regularly 👍
May i ask what the purchase price was? As the total running cost for the 10k miles etc?
So I purchased this for £15,300, to do the repairs mentioned I would say it’s £800. So it owes me £16100 which I think is worth every penny for such a car! In terms of running cost, all I’ve done since is fuel and tax 😃
@@condorvehiclesalesltd That's a bargain. I live in Belgium and prices for a Range Rover Sport are way higher.
@@condorvehiclesalesltd What Reg is it? I am looking at a Hse sport 2016 with 85k miles on it.
@@upbury Mine is a 2014 so one of the first of the L494’s. The 2016 will have had a facelift so the media screen will be an updated one etc 👍
@@condorvehiclesalesltd Just worried about reliability???
Yeah that happens
Accept it
I still own a 2009 L322
has it been reliable
Dead air compressor and compressor bags is not cool
Air compressor
160k not too shabby xxx
I love the look of these, but when 90 a day are stolen in London alone I think I will pass. Stupid keyless entry!!
The issue is a huge one at the moment! LR have surely got to come to the table with something. You can also disable the keyless entry on the later models 👍
Recalls for 2018 models and newer for security updates. Sadly no protection for those of us that don't make it in that bracket! I'm starting to dislike JLR and it's customer service
Good video mate. I’m looking at getting one 2014-2016 any preference or changes? Still, undecided if worth the extra money for Range Rover rather than the sport. Looking around £24’000 ish.
Thank you! So there was a facelift in 2015 which upgraded the media screen which was slightly better but the 2014 one isn’t bad, you can still use the satnav and stream audio via Bluetooth etc. I like the Sport for it’s size, still huge practicality but a good size for the lanes near me. The L405 is the king of Range Rovers though 😎 I’ve got a stunning one on my website! You should check it out as well as the video on the channel 👍
Ticking time bomb......
160000 miles would disagree with you 😂
Post your maintenance costs for 160K@@Mac_F87
@@fredbrackely do I have a 160k Range Rover?
