Uma : you just put it so perfectly. All amazing talents (director, music director, both singers, lead actors, Paresh Rawal etc) came together in this movie! The comedy timing has to be the best ever....and romance, as in this song and throughout the movie so subtly captured...the final scene too where Chandu gets the strong message from Satya and collects her in his arms....truly fantastic!! While Shiva was a trend setter and a cult movie introducing RGV to the world, this movie, I believe, is his best creation ever...everything came together sooo perfect. It should have been a much much bigger hit than it was. Miss those amazing days....sob, sob 😢😢😢

@Cosmic Goat I agree with you about "ye sama" tune in charanam, but full song cannot be called a copy. Probably he loves that song, and used that tune in charanam. I cannot call it an inspiration because tune is exactly same for 2 lines, but the song totally is not copied there are few very creative places, here and in many of his compositions. He did copy few in life, but his humongous work cannot be fully discredited. He is one of the very good and melodious composers in Telugu.
Regarding the folk song you mentioned from Chatrapati, that old original song also was composed by MMK in early years of his career. Since it didn't get too popular, he used it again and made it a tremendous hit, though I dislike Sunitha's part.

One of the finest songs of early 90s. This album makes us all accept why we need music directors like MM Keeravani. No one can easily believe this is a work of a debutante who made his entry into the foray of telugu cinema with a music which is that genius as this is!! The usage of instruments added to KS Chitra's and SPB's beautiful singing makes this one a song to be remembered for years to come!! The usage of Keyboards in the pallavi gives goosebumps for at least 100 times after listening!! Such an underrated music director! It is a shame people see him now as a music director of Baahubali and forget his contributions 27 years ago!! Kudos to him
