    Fun fact:
The dad of Andrew (the drummer ) made the Drum construction ( 5:40 ) for Andrew`s leg, after he told his dad that he`d give up. Not even the best company for those thing could make a construction like this and Andrew`s Dad created the first construction like this on the world.
This stuff is so inspirational. The whole story is so inspiring.
Edit: thanks for the likes guys, and Alex, if you read this please react to Polaris - Hypermania or Polaris - Masochist, u wont regret it!

The Ghost Inside is an amazing group of dudes and if there's anyone who helped me survive when I didn't want to, it was these guys. This song is a perfect example of who they are and what they've always been about. Definitely recommend you check out songs like Engine 45, Dear Youth, Chrono, Mercy, and Test the Limits. These guys have held a special place in my heart for years and I hope you can gain something from their music like so many others have.

This was one of the most amazing live experiences I ever had.. coming from a guy who has seen over 100 live concerts at minimum.

Been following them since vigil was in a dying dream and aaron ex member was in a local band in my city lake havasu city the hope of change. Awesome metalcore btw
Aaron collab'd with vigil and they created the ghost inside. I have demos from like 2006 of the earliest songs aaron was writing.
Aaron actually got a lot of riffs from marked for death a local havasu hardcore band that he was in and used them for some the ghost inside stuff... So its awesome to hear havasu music out there changing lives. Specifically the intro song on get what you give "this is what i know about sacrifice"
Words can't express how fucking scared i was when i heard about this... Aaron was my first friend when i moved to lak havasu. Luckily he wasn't in the accident. But it didn't soften the blow.
      Seeing them come back.
      Seeing them still standing.
      It's fucking amazing.
      The ghost inside forever.

I still struggle everyday with depression and anxiety but without that moment at the edge of the stage in the middle of the Mosh when Johnathan Vigil reached out and grabbed my hand and held it during Engine 45 I probably wouldn't be here. A part of the story not well known is twofold: this tour TGI was on when the crash happened was a lot about promoting local bands for all the cities they stopped in. They were the only touring band, all the openers were local for each show. They were making an effort to pass the torch and give small time bands a chance to shine. God bless em for that.
Second- earlier in that same tour in Reno, October ‘15, some local thugs ganged up on Vigil, the singer, and beat him up! We were so mad, frustrated beyond the belief for the taint in our local scene.
So much Hardcore/Heavy Metal in the world is about festering in anger, bitterness, and resentment. TGI is one of those bands whose music is about letting your demons out - freeing you to live a good life - taking negative energy inside ourselves and converting it to positive energy. 💜✌️😎
That night I got to speak with Andrew - we talked about musical inspiration and I TOTALLY GET that he would have written the instrumental!! MISERY SIGNALS, BABY!!

These dudes are extremely inspiring and I cannot be happier seeing this song, as I had never heard of them before but my sister had told me about their story and them as a band. When I saw reactions to this song I was so appreciative of the hard work they all went through, especially the drummer. The reason why I say that is due to the drummer not only losing a leg but, the mindset he had when he first realised his situation. He had thought how was he going to drum, as that's the role he played in the band and as a job. The band had 5 years off because of the accident and to them all time to recover and get back into the thing that they loved most, their band 'The Ghost Inside'. The other reason was due to the drummer having to pretty much relearn drumming, because of losing his leg, which is an essential part of drumming. Not only did he have to one get a bionic limb that he was able to drum with but he had to use a new kick drum pedal, which that pedal I believe was made by his father. In a whole though, this song was amazing and so heart warming like their story. This is the only song I have heard from these guys but I seriously need to listen to their other stuff.

The live concert footage for the video is all taken from their first live show after the accident. Jared Dines is a fan of these guys and did a pretty sweet vlog about that show. This song and video came along at a very personally relevant time for me. April 4th would have been my bro Jesse's 39th birthday. We served in the 82nd Airborne and went to Iraq together in 2003-04. Back during our time serving together, we used to joke that if we lived to 40, we'd have to run for office or start a global conquest or something as the gods clearly had big plans for us. Jesse took his own life 3 days before my birthday in 2013. April and September are always difficult times for me knowing that he isn't here anymore. Every year since on our birthdays I always honor his memory with a tradition popular with veterans, especially on Memoral and Veteran's Days, as well as birthdays and anniversaries, where we order a second drink for our fallen comrades and leave it in place with a note on the napkin or a list of those we wish to honor, usually concluded with something to the effect of "He/She/They drink(s) no more, so this drink stays where it lays." This year, I felt just... off. I was deflated and down that I couldn't visit my favorite haunt for that beer with Jesse. That a simple ritual had come to mean so much to me that I felt like I was letting Jesse down for not being able to do it. That was until that evening when a guy that bartends there sent me a picture of he and his brother in their yard, sitting around a fire, with a third beer on a table with the caption simply saying "For SPC Jesse Garcia, Til Valhalla." I often beat myself up around this time of year and get guarded and closed off, but the fact that they would do that for a guy they'd never known... that shit broke me. I hadn't let go of a lot for a very long time, but that helped me remember that a little like that is nice and all, but the best way to honor his memory is to keep stepping forward again, to live even fuller for the both of us, no matter what crazy shit the universe throws at me. Hearing this song broke me again cause that's how it resonates for me. Two different paths through adversity and hell, but I definitely get where they're coming from with this song. Stay strong all, love fiercely, and live magnanimously.

Awesome reaction brotha! Also the drummer lost one of his legs from the accident and had to learn how to basically play the bass drum pedal with a prosthetic limb. Shows the determination he had to keep playing man. Love this band so much.

One of my favorite quotes comes from a ghost inside song. In Mercy off of Dear Youth he says “I’d like to think I’ll come out stronger. Life’s swinging hard, but I’m swinging harder”. Truly amazing musicians and people.

I heard that song pretty much in a loop since it came out and now you not only reacting to it, but getting it...the passion, the beauty inside the song. When you show people music like this you want them to react like you just did and that is why we love watching you. Keep it going man :)
