This is good . Usually suspects tend to use a getaway vehicle after committing a crimes. By stopping these individuals they can easily arrest them and take them to custody.

The few bad incidents really tarnish the endless hard work & superb officers of the NYPD. Civilians must be able to appreciate the dangerous & stressful job they do daily. It’s taxing & cumulative on an individual. Not only is the stress of the dangers always present but they have to deal with unruly, difficult & combative people all day who try to lie or talk their way out of situations if they aren’t complying or escalating things. How many people could stay composed & professional with suspects who don’t have to abide by a code of conduct & are able to be rude & disrespectful? I cannot fathom the grind. Like the military it’s a tough, dangerous & many times a thankless job where people really do it for honorable reasons not fame or wealth. The Ulvade officers got deserved criticism for their lack of situation awareness & complete impotence in the face of a dangerous mass shooter but this was one small department that was probably woefully unprepared. We know most police especially NYPD bravely & selflessly runs into danger not away from it. We need better trained police who keep it transparent & build trust with a community. We all want safe neighborhoods & the scourge of crime to be eradicated. The rampant crime really decays the city, its businesses & its residents. It affects us all often in unforeseen ways as residents flee & businesses close really making quality of life go down. The city has been mishandled during the deBozo years & it’s going to take gargantuan efforts to restore it back but work like this is one of those slow but positive efforts.
