I would say that the Stallion is actually, a parody of the 60's Mustang, since the joke it's pretty clear. Mustang, the horse, Stallion, a horse as well
The premise and concept yes, but the model itself looks like a tiny cutlass 442 (atleast in the 3d era)

Imo Stinger is a very fictionalized version of 96' Porsche Boxster with the roof and lights being very close to Toyota MR2. But that's just only my guess.......

I always thought it was a Pontiac Solstice, and I don’t even live in the USA. MR2 has short engine hood in that comparison. Solstice also has matching door handles.

The Mafia sentinel was my favorite car from gta3 although I haven't played it in almost 20 years. I'm looking forward to playing it again when the trilogy comes out. I hope we can customize the cars like we can in GTA v.

Man you’re missing out, even though the graphics will look like ass after you’ve played GTA 5 for so long it’s still a huge nostalgia trip. The atmosphere of it is unmatched compared to any other GTA. Out of all the series this one is definitely the most creepy and ominous.

on gta lcs there are several exclusive cars that have never appeared in any other gtas there is deimos sp, ghost v8, hellenbach gt, thunder rodd,phobos vt and manchez i know there is manchez on gta online but in my opinion they are not the same bikes

It would be a good idea to add them in the trilogy definitive edition, its something that could be done easily and could make the city streets to look more natural with a bigger car variety, and the could do it also in vice city with the cars that are exclusive from VCS

Nice review 👍 gotta hand it to Rockstar they're BRILLIANT at replicating vehicles with just enough minor difference to avoid copyright issues....the vehicles have always been very creatively designed and are unique in they're own way to the game which makes it that much cooler.....can't wait for GTA VI

I always wondered what the infernus was in gta III. I thought the M12 was way too niche of a car to be even known by rockstar back in the day. Vector was pretty unknown at the time and was mainly known for the W8 if you had heard of the company. I'm glad they switched it to lamborghini.
I somehow used to think it Infernus was the Countach, but rounded. I mean I didn't know much back then🤷♀️
The Stallion looks more like the 1970 AMC Javelin, with the Oldmobile Cutlass Grill.

3:49 - Dodge Aries/Plymouth Reliant. It was still a lot of them when I was in Chicago in 2004-2008. For me, they always looked like a little Merceds 123, they also had something of a Lada 2107. Lada = Russian Mercedes, Reliant = American Mercedes :-)))
I hated that car in GTA 3 but I didn't know what it was at the time. It's one of the slowest vehicles in GTA 3 lol

It's called definative edition....just google it and you'll find all instructions, etc in their website....there's also one more project which is called reverse engineered but that one was taken down by take 2...and I don't know how much longer it'll take them to take this down too...so better download it asap.

Bobcat was a Ford Ranger w/ a stepside bed. I see the MR2 in the Stinger but always saw it as a Porsche due to the speed, sound and size.

I loved to steal the Cartel Cruiser when I was a kid and just go around and rev the engine.
Someone should make a mod for this game that swaps out all the cars with their real-life equivalents, as well as for Vice City and San Andreas. Speaking of which, looking forward to follow-up videos covering those two in the near future.
Real cars have been used as mods since the games had their PC release.

There's a mod called "Real GTA3" which does exactly that for... 80%? of the vehicles and replaces the remaining with some artistic license.
I'd say you're pretty spot on. The only ones I'd say are incorrect would be the Kuruma (even though it's basically the same vehicle) is actually a Dodge Intrepid because it's got the bigger taillights compared to the Sebring. Also I figured the Yardie Lobo with the cheetah print seats is more of a 70's Impala because it's got the unmistakable 3 bulb taillights. Good video though I always wondered what some of these were based off of.
well...I can't claim they're all true as who knows what Rockstar had in mind when thry designed these cars also it's decades old technology, Its hard to judge some of these 3D era cars.

Always wished the Yardie Lobo had a civilian version. It had a great looking model but was only available in red and had those annoying hydraulics with the loud af spring noises.

You are all correct, the cars in gta have no particular model as a reference. It's more a blend of different cars. The kuruma for example is a blend of the 2000s dodge and chrysler sedans.

Banshee in Vice City is based of the C4 Corvette for some reason. I know the game takes place in the 80's and the first Viper came out in the 90s

I would say that kuruma is 1991-1995 Mitsubishi lancer (Mirage in US market) because in GTA V kuruma is Lancer Evo X and Mafia Sentinel is E34 M5 (bunch of Russian Mafia uses M5)
