Touchwiz isn't the most appealing design. The stock Holo design of Android 4 is absolutely beautiful. KitKat comes with some refreshed icons for system apps like phone and settings that make the design more consistent.

My grandfather used to have a Samsung Galaxy Grand i9082 phone which looked like a Samsung Galaxy S3, he used to use it for WhatsApp, now his phone has many defects such as dead pixels, the power button doesn't work and often experiences lag and freezes.

I remember that Era with the early 2010's with windows slowly dying in those years. The only reason it was alive because of windows 7. And yes mobile devices were becoming marketable and were purchasable. And now windows is slowly dying again because of windows 10 ending support in 2 years and windows 11 not being user friendly. And if windows phone was still supportive, it mightve gained popularity too. But I'm not sure of that. People were more focused on androids and iPhone at the time.
