Bangkok's Best Breakfast Buffet 🇹🇭

- I was told by friends that the best breakfast experience in Bangkok could be found at the new Marriot Marquis hotel on Sukhumvit 22. As it's listed on the Eatigo app, it's available at a 50% discount, coming to 612 Baht (£16 GBP / $20 USD). Not too bad for all you can eat international food in a 5 star hotel restaurant.
I was sure to get even better value though, as I had been up all night and worked up a large appetite by doing laps in my condominium swimming pool. It was going to be more of a supper feast than a breakfast one.
I was surprised at how busy the restaurant was. I was told by the staff that the (massive) hotel was almost fully booked that night. Despite how many guests were there I didn't have to queue or wait long for anything I wanted, other than the bill......

I stayed in a Marriott hotel in Kuala Lumpur once, they too had this enormous breakfast buffet with hundreds of dishes. There was no chance going through all of them in one go, or even during the week I was there
You can try your best though :)
If you’re eating at a buffet alone, take a book to leave on the table while you’re away as a reservation.
If only I owned a book hahaha

hotels dont really provide the freshest fruit juice unless requested. I worked at this 5 star luxury hotel under Hilton before covid hit. The fruit juice lady always mix fresh orange juice with bottled orange juice to save cost and time!! Also it's not easy working in such a big buffet restaurant, hats off to the staff there!!

When he’s talking about a proper sausage....I can relate. In Asia, they have a strange mix of fillers and seasoning in the farce. If you’re used to US and UK/European style, you’ll notice the mouthfeel is weird, and not appetizing. Sausage needs a good bit of fat to it 😅.
Agree! I live in Indonesia and I don’t like sausage which is been sold here😂. Once I went to Europe, I brought home some of local sausages and finally can enjoy sausages which is meet my expectations👍🏽. Hi, Dale, the wada Indian delicacy, u can try with podina chutney, it Aso very nice. Normally podina chutney is in green colour & normally use for eating roti Naan with tandoori chicken 👍

I always grab a drink or two and bang them on the table I'm claiming.
I think I'd have either moved to the window one besides that table or just sat down in front of the lady and start chatting away making her feel awkward lol.
Next time when you go for a buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner, take some thing like a bag or a jacket or even your camera case, when they show you a table to sit, please leave your stuff on the table and then go get a plate full of food, in this video you were given a table but nothing to mark that the table has been reserved to you, so if you leave some stuff of yours on the table the next person looking for a table won’t sit there. In south of India if a lot of people are waiting for a bus and when the bus finally arrives we try to throw an hand kerchief or try to place some of our stuff on the empty seat from outside, when the crowd starts getting into the bus we go to the seat where our stuff is present and claim that seat, else we have to stand and travel

Possibly one of the better hotel breakfast buffets in Bangkok, but certainly not the best. The atmosphere reminds me of a train station concourse. The choice is huge, but I'm sure the quality and service is better at the Mandarin Oriental, Waldorf Astoria or the new upmarket hotels like Capella. But Marriott Marquis is still the only one where you get 50% discount. Others don't need that.

(My uncle lives there. He has rambutans trees in his backyard and always brought two sacks of them when he came to visit my mom. 😁)
Besides, Subang is a very good place. It has beautiful tea plantation, waterfalls, hot springs, volcano crater, etc. Besides, the weather is nice too. Well, you can google it. 😉
P.s. did you know? "Rambut" in Bahasa Indonesia means "hair". So, "rambutan" means "hairy". Yeah, fruits with lots of hair.
