Assuming this is a case of Chef Mic on overtime here given the heat of it. I think 12e for a frozen pizza is taking the piss a bit, its a vending machine, understand people need to get paid for the machine etc, but 12€ is just cashing in on the novelty of what it is.
All service stations in Ireland have excellent delis and extensive food sections unlike the UK, so the self service pizza hut is a bit redundant ! Although we have laundry machines as well I suppose, maybe it has it's place.
I can remember back around 2004 or 2005 there used to be a place in Dame Street called Grab & Go, I think there was seating inside but they had a vending machine outside that served hot pre-made burgers and the like. Quality wasn't the best but it was cheap and brilliant for when you'd be stumbling along trying to hail a taxi (this was way before the days of smartphones or taxi apps).
Tried a Dr Otecker one in Frankfurt Germany about 10 years ago & it was actually pretty good. Only €5 too but I guess inflation would bring it close to €10
So republic of Ireland have there deposit return scheme for cans and bottles and now reverse vending machines for fast food and we in the uk are still waiting for firstly drs and then the rest
The difference is, in italy or whatever these vending machines sell cheap pizza. Its not even the first one in dublin they used to be in 3 arena. This costs more than a pizza from romayos
Helsinki airport has a 24 hour pizza machine. There was one in the park outside an apartment i stayed in in jyvaskala. Steady stream of customers in. The couple of nights i was staying there.

I never knew such a thing existed. I can see the appeal behind it, it'd be quicker than going into any takeaway and making an order for one but yeah, you confirmed the one problem I suspected it would have - the quality isn't the best. And for a €12 asking price, that's too much for a pizza that isn't up to standard really. It is what it is, I guess. Maybe worth it if you were desperately stuck but it's unlikely to ever be your first choice. Great video by the way. Loving your honesty.
@@Paul_IsItWorthIt no I can't see it being very popular. Too expensive for the quality being offered. This is only appealing in an absolute last ditch attempt to get food kind of way.
