      Yea, and not just South Sudan, it appeares Japan threw 105 points to Serbia, Serbia won by 20, but again, 105 points in FIBA game (enough to upset even USA) ... And Puerto Rico has simillar game -- they simply play on pure energy -- to the end.
      P. S. I warned about big fat-contract stars in tem USA. They simply don't care enough. On the other side, Sudanesse are hungry, they are wearing on their shoulders the pride of whole continent of Africa being only African team. And they have only one goal -- to make Africa prowed, that is why they play with no brakes and gives 150%, becasue they don't care would they have injuries that will ruin their season or contracts. We were talking that 10 of 12 teems could fight for medals, but after this two games from South Sudan and Japan, it is actually 12 of 12, it never had been more unpredictable international tournament. All of a sudden Group B and C are also groups of death... Can elderly USA stars endure game after game after game of the same intensity as with South Sudan, that is the question... Because that is waiting them on Olympics.

    • @daShadoSage
      @daShadoSage Před 12 dny

      @@svarozjov Hmmm. Yes. All that "analysis" and your "warning" was wrong. Thinking getting paid well for your passion, talent, and hard work somehow decreases your passion talent, and hard work was flawed from the get-go. @@daShadoSage Well, I was right, South Sudan turn out to be formidable opponent, and Japan almost threw out France that later played finals... Both of them was not opponents you get steamroll over.
      On he other hand, USA "survived" this Olympics thanks to Lebron, KD and Steph... If only one of them was not on the team, I don't believe USA would survicve neithre Serbia, neither France, maybe not even South Sudan. And that is old generation that is going soon to retirement, young generation of USA players -- they somehow don't give impression they are able to fill up the shoes of their generation. Lebrons and Steph generation is another world another mentality, this bext one is exactly what Isaid: fed up with money that somehow weak their passion for basketball...

      @daShadoSage Před 12 dny

      @@svarozjov No. You were wrong. "Big fact contract team USA. They don't care enough". Your words. Now you say team USA would of lost if it wasn't for those same big fact contract players. Which is it? South Sudan played great. Future stars. They also were coached and put together by a former big fat contract NBA player. If surviving means winning every game on the way to yet another Gold then more teams need to learn that skill. I guess somehow losing is better than surviving in your book? Or is it that USA is so favored and respected that anything less than absolute domination is perceived as lesser? Not a bad place to be all in all. USA has always had big fat contract players and through 30 years of Olympics have won Gold that no other country will catch up to. Countries that are catching up and doing well are all led by big fat NBA contract players including France. So at every single angle your argument falls flat and is wrong. The only thing possibly right here, which I said and agree, is that team USA might be in trouble in the next Olympics after these current USA and basketball greats retire. It will be interesting. But again, the international teams that stand to be formidable and even win, include and are led by hungry relentless FELLOW big fact contract NBA players

    There are at least 4 if not 6 teams that can possibly win team USA on a given day and chances are that it will have to play at least against 3 of them and more likely 4. A whereabouts 7.5 point spread i.e. is around 25% loss chance, that taken into account only 3 times there's an almost 60% chance that team USA is at least going to lose one of those games not counting the rest. It is of course possible that USA will not lose to anyone, but I wouldn't exactly call it the most likely scenario and certainly not what smart money says.

    Team USA is just .... not as good as the Dream team of 92. Its not even close. For them to lose last year event and had to place in their 'stars' who ALMOST lost to South Sudan... that tells me that the NBA's talent is in a free fall. Dream Team is the ONLY legend, not this 'team' '24... its not even close.

    Unfortunately I doubt there will be any serious competition for the USA for at least 80-200 years from now. There just isn’t the depth or quality of talent from every opponent the USA faces. Sadly the USA could field 50 different teams, and all of them could win the gold medal at the Olympics. The gap between the USA and every other country is that wide. We would all like to see close matches, but other countries just don’t have great players in any number and almost zero depth of talent. Sadly that’s the truth.

      Individually, USA players are the best in the world, most athletic, best shooters, best ball handlers indeed. All 12 of them...
      There is a problem though; they are used to playing ~100 games, at a predictable pace, with predictable minutes, predictable schedules timeouts and friendly coaches.. When they lose a game they go with "it is just one game, good game of our opponents, we will be better next time"...
      Intl competiton is bit different: coaching in every posession, unpredictable lineups, changes of defences, less possessions, and playong every game as game 7 of NBA Finals.
      Will USA players have that in mind and play each posession as if it was their final or will they just go woth the flow, look for alley hoops, behind the back np look passing, or they will bite and foght for each ball.
      They went easy on South Sudan and let those guys have their night, winning luckily..

      @vladimirmilosevic4237 I agree with your points and very good insight. I believe they will adapt when it's not the showcase games.
      My comment though was directed to those who want to portray the US players as if they are somekind of Hollywood superheroes that ONLY if the best pleyers of the rest of the world (7,5 billion people) teamed up, they would have a chance of beating them. That's megalomania at it's finest.
