- Gaming PC upgrade unboxing. Upgrading from 6 year old PC with a Intel i7 8700 with a GTX 1080 graphics card to a Intel i5 12400F with a RTX 4070 GPU. June 2023.

Primary Hard Drive: 1TB NVMe SSD
Power Supply: 600 Watt 80 Plus Gold
OS: Windows 11 Home

Upgraded 16GB RAM with 32GB RGB
Added 2TB NVMe SSD

have you tried baldurs gate 3 on this pc? Also what was the reason for upgrading the RAM, did it provide a significant difference?
Yes, I've played through Act I of Baldurs Gate 3 without any problems. From what I hear, Act III is the most demanding. I bought additional RAM for processing videos and multitasking. I can't say that I can tell a difference.
Ive been checking out PCs from different companies since this will be my first gaming pc, one of them being skytech... affordable pcs for those getting their foot into the door. The Nebula & Archangel 4 stand out the most to get me started into pc gaming.
I hope whichever PC and/or company you decide on you get a great PC. I've been enjoying mine and use it nearly everyday.
@cadrechronicles Thanks for that, I basically want a PC that can deliver on Triple A games, hardware I can upgrade & get a good experience on PC gaming, especially coming from console gaming Lol 😅 Not looking for the best high priced PC but just something under $1500 to get me started.
I recommend Build Pro PC. They have great prices, and their builds are super high quality. Mine has perfect cable management and stays cool and quiet.

the fans are 120mm yeah? how many fan slots on the top? looking to swap out that fan cooler for an aio haha
Yes, 120mm fans. 3 intake fans in front and one exhaust in the back. There is a sort of railing on the top; however, I'm not sure if it's intended to support fans or not.

I am really new to pcs. For the skytech nebula do you have to do anything to the inside of the pc to set it up or does it already have everything set up and you have to do the wiring?
Out of the box it comes with everything except a monitor. You'll need a computer monitor and speakers and/or a headset. Just unpack and then plug everything in, and you're all set.
Just bought this for Christmas, was anything unplugged inside the computer? Heard some things about the PSU not being connected to certain components, and if so, do they tell you and instruct you on how to connect them?

Nothing was unplugged when I received mine. It's possible with shipping and handling for plugs to come loose, so check on receipt. My PC has been on for most of the day, every day since June (~6 months). I've had no issues. 😊👍

What is the size of the keyboard I’m trying to get one and I what to see how big my desk should be
The keyboard I was sent is 17.25 inches wide by 5.25 inches deep. I'd consider it full sized with numeric pad included.

I recommend the AOC 165hz monitor and if your daughter likes pink you could also get her a pink monitor protective cover with cat ear design that looks like hello kitty
Congratulations, does it work well on ae would it work well?
Thanks! I'm sure it does all right with After Effects (AE is After Effects?). I'm using Premier Elements. Depending on the length of 4k video, it can take some time to render. It does fine, with no crashes or errors.

It's hard for me to say. If you want to game on PC, then the Nebula or similar is a good pre-build choice, in my opinion. I've always been a PC gamer and enjoy mouse & keybard and all that PC stuff. If you like consoles, PS5 exclusives and the PS ecosystem then go PS5. The grapics card is better in the Nebula than a PS5, but several PC ports from consoles launched in bad shape. Was cyberpunk 2077 on max settings?
Yes, max settings with DLSS on and ray-tracing set to "Psycho." I have a couple of Cyberpunk 2077 driving videos if you want to see gameplay at higher speeds. I've not done a full playthrough on any game with this PC yet, but I'll try it with Starfield starting this weekend. 🙂
Would you recommend this to someone getting their first pc ?
This exact configuration may no longer be available, but if similar, then yes, I'd recommend it. My experience has been positive.

It's been very good. I upgraded the RAM to 32GB and added an additional 2TB SSD. I've been running the Nebula quite a bit, rendering videos, and it done well. 🙂👍
Does Fortnite run good on here and would I have to assemble anything to it?
I haven't played Fortnite, but it should run very well. There's no assembly, just unpacking and setup.
did this pc come with an hdmi cord?
No, HDMI cable(s) are not included.
How loud fan is it?
I have mine under the desk, so, I don't notice it. On the desk, you do hear the fans occasionally, but I wouldn't call it loud.

I have a couple of Dell S2417DG monitors which go up to 144 Hz.
did this pc come with wifi?
Yes, on the build I received, it came with a the Gigabyte B660 DS3H AC DDR4-Y1 motherboard with wifi and two antenna.
Will this run DayZ?
I don't own that title, but I would think it would run well on this PC.
